Well that RV was 36' and that answer was correct. However, we upgraded to a Phaeton 40AH, which is listed on the specs as appx 41.5'. I now know after driving it last year for 5 months, that if it is indeed over 40', I now need a non-commercial Class B license. Ignorance was bliss! I am now in the process of learning what I need to do to get this license. I've seen some older posts and it seems that experiences vary depending on where and when others have received theirs. Has anyone from southern CA recently applied for this license and taken the written and driving tests? If so, can you provide me with some feedback re: what I should be reviewing to prepare for both of these exams? Also, between now and when I am able to get the license, does anyone know what happens if you are stopped and don't have it yet? Thanks for any info.Re: Routes in Nova ScotiaThank you for feedback. Anyone else have info or experiences they would like to share, please feel free. Thanks again.Routes in Nova ScotiaWe are looking at traveling to Nova Scotia perhaps late August, early September. Right now we will probably be coming from the Maine area, although we had considered going up into Canada from a more western entrance and then going east in Canada. I'm interested to know what other's experiences have been with roads in Nova Scotia as well as recommendations for routes and RV parks. We have a 41" Class A diesel with a Jeep Wrangler as our tow vehicle. Thanks for any feedback.Re: RV Solar PanelsSorry, I should have said that I need to have it installed. I would need to factor that into the cost.RV Solar PanelsI'm looking at adding solar panels on my Tiffin Phaeton. I have a residential refrigerator and while we don't dry camp very often, there are times. Does anyone have suggestions re: a good product to buy and what I should expect to pay (just an estimate). I was considering Go Power Solar Panels and wondered if anyone had any opinions. I also wondered if buying from vendors at RV rallys will result in a better price? Thanks.TIFFIN MODELS - DRIVING COMPARISONSI currently have a 2014 35 ft Tiffin Allegro RED. We travel appx 5-6 months out of the year so we are driving quite a bit. I'm considering upgrading to a Phaeton or Tiffin Bus but want to stay 36-38 ft length. I am actually very happy with our RED but I feel the wind and bumps or holes in the road quite a bit. I have 2 questions from other Tiffin drivers: 1. Is the ride significantly different when upgrading from a RED to a Phaeton or Bus? 2. For those who have driven the power glide chassis - is there a significant difference from that to the Freightliner? Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.Re: Flagstaff to Ruidoso, NMThank you for the helpful info.Re: Flagstaff to Ruidoso, NMThank you all for your feedback and suggestions. Looking forward to the journey!Flagstaff to Ruidoso, NMWe are heading from Flagstaff, AZ to Ruidoso, NM. Initially we were going to take 40 to Albuquerque but our Good Sam created a route that goes from 40 to 180 through Springerville and then on 60 for about 150 miles. Has anyone taken this route and are roads good? I have a 35 ft class A, Diesel. Thanks for any feedback.Re: Routes through the Adirondacks/NY for fall foliageThank you everyone for your feedback. Looking forward to seeing this part of the country.
