In preparation for our RV season, sanitizing and flushing of the water system is a must. The issue I'm having is that when I do this, I need to have it outdoors because I am filling and dumping 80 gallons of water with each step. I have no means to redirect the water out of the barn, which means having to hook up to the truck and drag the RV outside, away from 50A power, for a day or two. This is also the time we're packing and loading up and in Texas, that can mean HOT! It would be nice to have 50A hookups so we can run more than just the fridge for those 2 days. And, the closest level surface to park and do this is about 500 feet from my barn, so a long 50A extension cable is just not an option for me. So, what I am looking for is a solution to be able to fill and drain the RV while it is still in the barn. Has anyone done this? I can easily route the gray water dump outside, but the fresh water dump gate and overflow tube are my main obstacles. Also, it is really not a realistic option to "bucket collect" 80 gallons of fresh water and move it by hand. Has anyone found a a connector that fits that dump gate and one that fits the overflow tubing so this can be done indoors? Dump gate outer diameter is approximately 2-3/8" Overflow tubing outer diameter is approximately 7/8" (Yes, I know I have measurements and can probably order a bunch of stuff and "trial and error" until I find the perfect fit, but I am trying to eliminate some steps.)New propane leak after tanks filledI just had my two propane tanks filled after draining them nearly dry with the recent super-cold snap. When I reconnected them, there is a HUGE leak on both tanks right at the screw-in connection of the flexible hose connector along the hose where it goes into the "knob" to screw in. I do not see any cracks in the O-ring or assembly, dirt or debris in the threads, or any other obvious problem. Has anyone else had this? Could the cold have cracked both seals or hoses? Could the propane fill place have damaged the tanks? Hate to just buy new flexible hose assembly units if I'm missing something simpler.Re: seal pulling out? Thanks for the help, all. Now, does anyone have a part number or exact name?Re: seal pulling out? BOOM! Thank you, BarneyS!!!Re: seal pulling out?I just can not for the life of me figure out how to put a dang picture on here... Its shrunken, for sure, just didn't know if that was "normal" versus a sign of a bigger problem.Re: seal pulling out?Pic of the sealseal pulling out?I have a rubber seal pulling out from the corner of my fiver (2014 Jayco Eagle 34.5BHTS) at the inside "corner" edge where the overhead part that attaches to the pinbox comes down behind the tailgate. The ends are screwed in secure, so it hasn't slid or pulled in one direction, and trying to push it back in, it's tight! Almost like it's shrunk?!? Can't figure out how to add an image... sorry...Re: Cracking paintWell... ****. Thanks all. Crestview in San Antonio is horribly backed up (took about 4 months to repair/paint the nose damage) and (apparently) does shoddy work. I'll try to call them again about this, but not expecting any miracles, besides, they'll probably just repair it the same way they repaired it the first time. Thanks again!Cracking paintAll, We had some cosmetic nose damage during a stay at the local RV dealer (Crestview in San Antonio) that was repaired and repainted. Now (almost 18 months later) the paint is cracking, but not flaking off... yet. We're told that we're beyond the warranty on the RV (2015 Jayco Eagle 38.5BHTS) and the paint warranty was one year. Is there anything I can do to help slow the process until I can get it addressed? Clear nail polish? Anything? Posted on Jayco Forum too - link to picture: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f6/cracking-paint-67556.htmlRe: Outdoor kitchen door problemGoing to try the Hatchlift kit x2 (fixing the other side before it breaks.) I'll post if it doesn't work. Thanks all!
