I've taken it to 5 different states, over 100 campgrounds and have had, up untill just recently, minimal issues. I haven't taken mine off road but I have driven on some dicey roads. It has handled well and dust inside the rig has not been an issue. This year I have had some major repairs done to it such as headers and rear brakes. I'm also going to have to have the stairs repaired/replaced and the generator serviced soon. My goal is to get 10 years out of it and either buy a newer rig or get out of RV'ing.Re: where or can I get LED bulbs ?I switched out all (with the exception of the interior dome light) interior bulbs to LED's about 6 years ao. I have not had to replace any of them yet. ebay.com is where I got mine. I kept an incandescent in the interior dome light because it was attached to some kind of fader/relay and the LED would not work in it.Re: RV associationI had a chance to buy a small general store in a rural area that had some land around it and had about a dozen camp sites on it. I don't even remember the price now. I was very interested until I sat down and started figuring out how much that it would cost to upgrade it. I remember that it only had 15A service and water. Not sure about sewer. The owner was getting on in age and even offered to owner finance it. I didn't do it. I drove by that location just recently. The store is now closed and the land around it is reverting back to forest. It was going to take some deep pockets to upgrade that property with either a long term or no return on investment. I'm glad that I passed.Never Got New GSC Card Upon RenewalBack on 6/292018 I renewed my Good Sam Club membership for another year. My card was set to expire on 9/21/2018. The web site said that I would get my new card in a few weeks. I did not receive it. I called GS customer service in late August. The rep took the information down and said that I would get my new card in a few weeks. I did not receive it. Thank goodness I printed out the paper temporary card. But I need the plastic card for things like buying gas at Pilot/Flying J. My old card expires in 3 days. Can you please help me? Thanks.Re: the perfect toad?Looks like it is made by a small German company. It costs about 18k and the battery is about 5K extra. Technology wise it looks great. I wonder if we will ever see it here in the US?Re: Need Help with Lake TahoeIf all else fails you can always boondock in one of the casino parking lots. Most of them don't mind as they want you to spend your money there.Re: 2006 Coachman Cascade 26 RBShttp://www.coachmenrv.com/ownermanuals.aspx I have found that a lot of these manuals are very generic and apply to various models.Re: 2006 E450 front shocks?I have an E350 chassis and had my shocks replaced a few years ago because one of mine was leaking. I went with some heavy duty Monroe Shocks. I had an independent shop install mine. A lot of people go with Bilstein or Koni shocks. I had some major steering control issues at highway speeds initially. However, after replacing the front shocks, ball joints, front tires and getting a front wheel alignment, my rig now is very stable at highway speeds.Re: New to this RV thing! Just purchased a '76 fixer upperWelcome to rv.net! If your rig runs and you can get it to a campground, then I think that you got a good deal. As for what brand and model your rig is, hopefully, someone else will chime in. Or you can try looking on craigslist.org, rvtrader.com or other RV selling sites as I have seen some vintage RV's listed on both. You may spot yours there. Good luck with the project!Re: Best Way To Treat/Filter Campground Well Water???A few years back I forgot to drain my hot water tank after about a month the hot water tank had a bad sulfur small. So now I drain my hot water tank after after every trip. I also add a small amount of bleach into the water line the first trip of the year to get the RV antifreeze taste/smell out of the water lines. This is after I drain the antifreeze and re-route the water through the water heater. Since the OP is hooked up to water permanantly, I would drain the hot water tank once a week and then add a small amount of bleach into the incoming water line.
