My slide out sometimes doesn't want to retract. It's intermittent. I suspect it might be a slight binding issue. I can usually push on it to get it started and it goes. One time my son and I had to push it all the way manually. It just started doing it a couple months ago after a weekend when we had a lot of guests in the RV. I lubricated the track and it works better, but still get's stuck every once in a while. The slide has an electric motor hidden in a sealed compartment underneath. I may remove it this weekend to check it out. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!Re: Hot Feet in the passenger positionI have the same problem. I've purchased a couple rolls of this Thermo Tech Liner to fix the problem. I plan to line the metal frame underneath near the exhaust under the right side. It is unprotected now and about 4 inches from the exhaust. I'm sure that's the main cause of my wife's hot feet. I also have enough to place underneath the carpet on both driver and passenger sides for added heat and sound insulation. This should fix this problem. I'll report back with a video when it's done.Re: installing solar panels without drilling holes Crabbypatty wrote: I will be installing solar soon on my epdm rubber roof. I am not concerned about leaks. Already I have installed a ladder and utilize Dicor Lap Sealant. Works perfectly. I will be doing the same. I am going to attached the mounts to the panels first and apply sealant to the bottom of mount then place the panel on the roof. Now fasten with a screw gun through the hole oozing in sealant. After apply more sealant over the top. This way sealant is under the bracket and also follows the screw into the hole. The Dicor self levels and makes for a nice neat waterproof install. Agreed. Dicor is your friend. Don't be afraid to add a few new holes in your roof if you have to. Just seal them up properly as noted and check them a few times a year.Re: Levelling the RVTri Levelers are what I use. (Tri Leveler on Amazon). I keep 4 handy at all times. I used to carry 2x8 pieces of wood at first.Re: onan 4000 dyingI had the same problem a few months ago and replaced my fuel pump/filter to fix it. Here's a video, parts, etc. http://www.rvwithtito.com/videos/onan-generator-does-not-start-fuel-pump-test-replacement Hope that helps!Re: Onan 4000 GenSet Emerald Plus - Carb CleaningI changed my fuel pump and filter a few months ago. Here's some info, parts, etc. BTW my generator is a Onan Microquiet 4000. http://www.rvwithtito.com/videos/onan-generator-does-not-start-fuel-pump-test-replacement Good luck!Re: Leveling class CI primarily use my bathroom door to check level. When it doesn't move, I'm level. If not, I use a small bubble level placed on the kitchen counter. Front to back first, then diagonal at each corner to figure out which wheel to raise up. By the way, Tri-Levellers are my favorite levelers (You can find them here).Re: Class C StabilizersHere's my $.02. Our RV used to bounce around quite a bit when the kids moved around in the front. I too was looking for a way to stabilize the rig especially in the rear. Once I upgraded my Anti-Sway bars to Hellwig bars and shocks to Bilsteins, the RV is very solid and doesn't move around much at all. PROBLEM SOLVED! Video on replacing anti-sway bars.Re: so where do you buy your tires?I recommend going to Les Schwab (there's one in Denver). Last year, after much research I ended up going to Les Schwab and putting on Toyos. Very comparable to Michelin with steel sidewalls and the works plus $100 less per tire. They put 6 on in 1 hour. I couldn't be happier. The best part is that Les Schwab is everywhere on the West Coast and will service your tires wherever you are. I had a puncture in Reno last summer (just 3 months after the new tires). There was a Les Schwab within a mile of where I was. They replaced the tire at no cost and I was back on the road. I made a video about the experience.Re: Side view camera upgradeYou can pick up a couple of side cameras from Jensen (Jensen RV Direct Side Cameras). I ordered a right side view camera and will install it soon with a wireless remote monitor. Like others who commented, I prefer my mirrors and don't need it for driving. I plan on using the IR camera for a little video monitoring setup.
