I will get back and let you know what I find but it will be a few days as it is about 15 miles away in storage. Thanks guys.Converter/ChargerA few months ago I checked the charger output at the batteries and it was down low like between 2&3 volts. So I ordered a new one. Went to put it in yesterday and tested the output of the old Magne Tek 950 one last time right at the charger. 14.22 vdc. Hooked it back up went to the batteries and checked it. 11.77 volts. Left it running about 10 minutes with 2 interior lights on. Checked at the batteries again and they were at 11.59 volts. Disconnected the charger again and checked the output again. 13.28volts. Can any give me a good idea of what is wrong here. I did not install the new charger at that point as I wanted to be sure that is what it needs and this is not the result of a different problem. The old one is 14 years old. The MH is 14 years old and the charger is located about 32-34 feet from the batteries.Re: Remote PendantThanks to all of you . It sounds like I need itRemote PendantI am fixing to buy a new PD 9260 Charger converter and they offer a remote pendant for free to go with it. But I don't know what that is or what it is for. Could some one straighten me out on this?Re: Ford 4x4 2002 explorer will not go into 4 wheel driveI unhooked the battery cables and left them off for a while as I had heard might reset something but it did not help. After that and removing and testing the fuses and reinstalling them I now have a 4x4low light and a door ajar light that are on faintly all the time. Still no 4x4 action though. I will try the soft blows to the servo motor when the weather is a little better. Thanks for the ideas. The snow is over, 10 inches or so on the ground depending on which channel you are on.Ford 4x4 2002 explorer will not go into 4 wheel driveI think I need the help of a Ford mechanic. My 2002 ford explorer 4.0 v6 automatic will not shift into any 4x4 positions. I have checked all the fuses that I can find, 1 under the dash and 2 under the hood. It does not make any sounds at all when I push the 4x4 buttons. It did not make any strange sounds the last I used it a few weeks ago. I have tried it moving and sitting still, in neutral with the brake on. I have had it since new and used it every winter so I am sure it is not operator error. It has 99000 miles on it. Now for a little recent history. I had the cables disconnected to clean the post 3 weeks ago. Two days later I used a homeowner style alternator tester to check the alternator (good). I jumped the MH last week to start it, all of these since the last time used the 4x4. While doing the above I never did hook any thing up wrong. THE FORECAST IS CALLING FOR SNOW tonight 7 to 9 inches. I would be very thankful if some one can help me with this.need new converter chargerI have my motor home in storage and I think the charger is on the blink. It is a Magne Tek M.N. 950 50amp. What would be a satisfactory replacement for this charger? I don't think I will be using it any more as my wife passed away last January. All I want is to have something that will work OK (but not junk)for a buyer. The MH is a 2000 Georgie Boy Cruise Air 38 ft.Re: Dometic frig quitI just talked to my son and I have to make a few corrections on what I stated above. He did not get it lit on DC and he can not get any power to the frig AC nor DC. He plugged the frig into an extension cord that was known to be hot. He also had a new battery installed two weeks ago. He is down there without a tester.Dometic frig quitMy son is at the lake without a computer so I will try to relay his troubles. His Frig is a Dometic Americana Mod.RM2652. He moved his fifth wheel two weeks ago and it was working fine. Yesterday when he went to the camp ground it was not working on AC. He tried to get it working on gas, no luck even though it lit. Any ideas? Are there any resets on that unit?
