Don't know what your unit does in this case but if it is below 130 psi you will have a problem filling a 130 psi tire because when getting at or near this level the air flow will stop or severely slow down. If this is the case you will have to force the compressor to turn on by using a hand nozzle to get it to turn on and begin filling to the 150 psi shut off point. You can fill the tire in this cycle. Hope that makes sense.Re: allison code 2112Without more information, it seems that your setup is similar to mine, so here is some information based on how mine is laid out and the problem that I encountered. Starting at the fuel injector pump, find the throttle linkage. Attached to that linkage should be a cable that leads to the throttle position sensor which is a totally enclosed electronic box about 6X6X6 inches. In my case this is mounted at the transmission end of the engine and up at valve cover height. Before going any further check that the the throttle position sensor mounting bracket is OK. This bracket is a metal piece about 1X1X2 inches mounted near the injector pump. This bracket has a pin that connects to the above mentioned cable via a slotted metal cable end. In my case the pin was worn to about half the diameter because the slotted cable end was wearing thru the pin. This will produce errors in the feedback that the cable connection gives to the sensor. This part is available thru Cummins dealers or at RV Chassis Parts. Hope the problem is as simple as this.Re: New to Class A are lots of steering corrections normal? Some good suggestions here. Tire pressure, looking farther down the road, alignment all good. Be sure when checking alignment to do rear axle alignment as well. A small amount of out of adjustment of the trailing arms will cause the chassis to be bias one way or the other, resulting in a correction. This was the experience I had with my bus.Re: Motion Control units gnm wrote: Ok another question, has anyone used the control units with a roadmaster RR8R, chassis? The 8 air bag set up and if so did you use one on each bag or one per two bags near the Y connection for both bags per side The reason I ask is that I was told by Sourse Eng. I could use 4 total instead of 8. Although my setup is four bags, it seems very logical to use only four control units, ie one per corner. The reason, I think, would be that each corner functions as a system of two air bags normally and all the control units do is dampen the flow so that sudden changes in air bag movement are also dampened as a system of two air bags. Another way of thinking of it is the fact that the setup now is done via a Y in the line rather than individual lines indicates to me that the system is designed to act in unison.Re: Motion Control unitsI installed the Henderson's Super Steer units on my bus 1/2007. The handling is much improved at highway speed, that is lean in corners is a lot less and adds a much more stable feel to the driving experience. Although the effect of passing trucks was not bad before, this also improved. I do not see any real change when speed bumps are involved, just have to slow down. I have been very pleased with this upgrade. One note, when dumping the air bags to level the coach the auto level system (HWH) dumps for a predetermined time then the jacks extend. If I want to be lower, such as when accomodating a slightly out of level parking spot that leaves the entry step higher than I want, I first dump some air from the system then go thru the leveling cycle. This is because the air escapes slower from the bags with the MC system. Hope that's not confusing, but it's just a heads up, no big deal.Re: Coolant leakMy next step would be to run a system pressure test which does not require the vehicle to be running. These kits are available on line (Amazon). Pump it up to 15lbs or whatever the cap is rated at and see what happens. Observe for leaks anywhere. If none visible then and only then would head gasket or other internal leak be investigated.Re: No CruiseThe cruise control circuits are often routed through or depend on brake light switches to operate. This means that if the brake light switch is on continuously or malfunctioning the cruise control believes it should be turned off.Re: Torsion bar bushing navegator wrote: Do not get the OEM units, get the new ones I believe they are made from Neoperene or something called like that, in any case they are red in color, NAPA should have them. navegator Take one to the local auto parts store, NAPA is good and get a replacement, probably urethane, which is the most resilient (read bounces back the best).Re: Water Heater ElementJust a thought, but there may be an air lock preventing an empty tank from filling fully, so I would turn on a hot water faucet and make sure a full flow of water is achieved before declaring that the tank is full. Also, when not in use, I keep a piece of tape over the 120VAC switch in an off position. This ensures that I don't accidently leave it on and hook up 120V power even for a second.Re: Fleetguard Coolant EG vs. PG K Charles wrote: If you mix them the freeze point can't be easily found. Good point, the freeze point checking device has to be the right one for PG otherwise erroneous readings. The EG checker is the most common and will not give correct results. Otherwise I buy my PG Compleat coolant thru Cummins. I like the stuff and as recognized, won't kill the dog or cat but might give them a good dose of laxative. The DCA should be monitored using test strips. Last time I bought them from Cummins I asked specifically whether they would test PG coolant and was told yes, so make sure to ask. If DCA needed, I have used both coolant filter charged ones and bottled DCA. I prefer the coolant filter cartrige, just seems to make more sense regarding mixing it with the coolant over a period of time rather than a "shot" approach.
