In the trailer Re: Hail damageMaximum wind speed was just under 60 mph. The storm lasted about 30 min. and it looked like snow on the ground when it was done.Hail damageOur motorhome was hit by hail a couple weeks ago. The adjuster is going to take a look at it and see if it's damaged. The hail was about 1 3/4" in diameter. We had just put new covers on the AC units and they look like swiss cheese now. I don't know how delicate these roofs are. Does this size of hail have the potential to do a lot of damage to the roof?Re: New owner electrical problem/questionIt's a g f I outletRe: New owner electrical problem/question newman fulltimer wrote: Is your hwh off on the electric side what is hwh? No idea what else is on the circuit. I really just want to keep the batteries charged. Should I buy a little charger and hook it up to the batteries?New owner electrical problem/questionI parked my motorhome in our storage unit and tried to plug into a 110 outlet. It immediately tripped the circuit breaker. I was using the 50 amp shore power cord with an adapter to plug right into the outlet. It's about 25' long. I checked and rechecked everything in the coach and nothing was turned on. I even had the fridge switched over to gas only. I wouldn't think the battery charger would pull enough amps to trip the breaker. Any ideas?Re: Exterior RenovationThe shop is quoting me $688 to remove the old decals. I'm not going to touch them for that price. Maybe I'm too old or too lazy but it doesn't sound like much fun.Exterior RenovationWe just bought an RV about a month ago and it's time to get the exterior looking good again. It's actually in pretty good condition as far as white parts are concerned but the stripes are cracked and peeling around the edges. I'm looking at two different options but I'm not sure which is the better way to go. The first is to remove the existing stripes and have new vinyl made. This will cost about $3,100. The second is to remove the existing stripes and paint the stripes on. This will cost $3,500.00. The shop I'm working with has told me the new stripes, whichever way I go, have to match the existing stripes location. This makes sense as I'm sure the finish under the strips will be different than the rest of the coach. I like the idea of paint because there are so many colors to choose from and the painter is willing to do a bit of air brushing to add a little detail to the stripes rather than doing just a solid flat color. Let me know what you think.Re: I-80 West from Chicago, ill to York, NEI just drove from Lincoln NE to Iowa City IA about two weeks ago. There was construction along the way west of Des Moines but it was a minor inconvenience at most. Occasionally there would be a right or left lane closed portion but otherwise normal double lane Interstate throughout the work zone. Good Luck.Re: Our First MotorhomeThe first clue on the generator was it's low hours. After 11 years it only had 151 hours. Whoever bought this coach didn't intend to the use the gen very much. We've already doubled that. Is there anything special we should do when dumping the black water tank? Should we dump a bunch of water into it first to help clean it out?
