It's a nice park but we found the sites a little snug. And it's a bit away from the strip. Our sons convinced us to try Oasis and we never went back to Sams. It has a fantastic office with a small restaurant and the store is partially stocked by Camping World. It has two pools - a family pool and an adults only pool. It has a grass fairway mini golf course. Sites are full hook-up, paved, pull thrus. Hook-ups are conveniently placed and we've been able to use a 4ft. water hose so the water doesn't have to lay in a long, hot hose - it's at least still a little cool coming into the trailer. There is grass and a tree between each site. It's located just off Las Vegas Blvd. just south of the strip. They are a Good Sam park so that saves a few $$. Check out their web site: https://www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com/ And, no, I am not affiliated with Oasis in any way - just a very satisfied customer.Switch from 30 lb. to 20 lb.propane tanks?Well, it happened. Our beloved trailer is now old enough that the 30 lb. propane tanks have expired and can't legally be refilled. I'm considering replacing them with 20 lb. tanks so when one emptys I can just take it to any number of stores and exchange it for a full tank but I'm not sure about the smaller tank capacity. We don't use the trailer nearly as much as we used to - no more 4 mo. FL stays since we got the park model - but when we do use it, it usually includes one long trip of 3-4 weeks out west. Will we have a problem with the smaller tanks running out frequently?Re: Oregon 101 drive with 30ft. TT?Thanks for all the feedback. :) In our many years of towing, we've run into a few roads that we wished we had checked out ahead of time. Sounds like our ride down the Oregon coast should be one more to add to our pleasant travel memories.Reviews of CW productsSeveral weeks ago I bought a product at CW which turned out to be not as described in the sale flyer and on the web site. Subsequently I returned it. I wrote a review to alert other buyers about the item but when I check the reviews now I see only one 4* review. Since I now know that negative reviews apparently don't get posted, how can I trust the reviews on the CW web site?Oregon 101 drive with 30ft. TT?We're planning a trip to the West coast in late August. We hope to travel from N to S along the Oregon coast - Hwy 101. Once we hit California we'll leave the coast and head towards Las Vegas where we have two sons. We've heard some horror stories about some sections of 101 with RVs but aren't sure where those spots are. We'll be pulling a 30ft. TT with a GMC Sierra 2500HD. Any words of advice for driving that route?Re: Good Sam roadside assistance app problem. sch911 wrote: The app does not send any data when you make the call, doesn't work like that. As stated you need to multitask to get the required info. I believe it does - it was obvious from our conversation that she was already looking at certain info and was just asking for member no. as a confirmation.Good Sam roadside assistance app problem. When the GSRA App was announced I installed it on both of our phones. The beauty of this app is that you pre-enter all your info on all covered vehicles, your GS member number, etc so that when it is necessary to call for assistance all that info and your GPS location is sent to GSRA. I recently had occasion to call for assistance. I was asked my name, which is understandable to confirm that it was really me calling. But then I was asked for my GS membership number - data that was stored in the app and sent to GS as soon as I made the call. It meant having to dig out the wallet and dig thru the various cards to find the correct one while stranded on the side of an interstate. It wasted time and made the situation more stressful. What is the point of using the app if I'm going to have to repeat all the info anyway?
