This past Tuesday we sadly watched as some folks drove off with their new purchase. We finally decided, at 80+ years of age, that it was time! Although we still enjoy the lifestyle immensely we realized that we just cannot do the things we enjoy and have always done. I can no longer do the necessary maintenance myself and it was taking Jackie and I two or three weeks to get ready for a trip. So rather than hurt, maim or even kill one or both of us, or even worse yet do the same to someone else we mutually decided that it was time to quit. We have seen a large portion of this great country and then some, we have visited all 50 states (not all by RV) and twenty some countries, we have been truly blessed. We wish everyone here continued health, enjoyment, a long life and God's Blessings.Re: Dash Headlight SwitchI repaired mine the same way Blackdiamond did.Re: Your wisdom - please! The lug nut covers mentioned by Dutch should also have two small indentations on opposite sides of the covers. If you look around in the storage bays, you may find a "T" handle wrench that fits those covers.Re: Porch and storage bay lights not workingOn my '03 Bounder, there is a "master switch" located in the step area, labeled luggage lights. Without it being on the bay lights are inoperable.Re: Anyone own a Bounder?Have a 2003 Bounder 32W, bought new. Has been a great rig for us.Re: steering stablizersI have Safe-T Steer on my signature rig.Re: Toilet SealThere is a seal product avail, can't think of the name but made by Thetford I get it at Camping World. It really works!RV RegistryWe are both now in our 80's and have finally decided it's time to give up the MH. It was a difficult decision but the right one for us. Now comes the question; Has anyone used a service called "RV Registry" to buy/sell a motorhome, if so in a few words how would you rate them. Thanks, and good luck to all.Re: Broken Down any suggestionsOn my '03 Bounder there is a power distribution relay, mounted on the right side of radiator frame and accessed under the passenger side wheel well,. This relay supplies battery power to the dash and everything needed to crank the engine. Locate the relay, disconnect the battery, and burnish the contacts. I've been there and paid an "RV tech" $500.00 to find said relay and clean the contacts. Symptoms are exactly as you stated. Perhaps you can have the guy coming check this out, prior to wasting a bunch of chargeable ($) time. Good luck, I hope this helps.Re: 2004 Fleetwood Southwind v32We have an '03 Bounder 32V on the ford chassis, we bought new. Other than some initial quality control and just plain sh**ty workmanship which we got resolved during the first year, it has been a solid rig.
