It had been delivered to the lot in the summer of 2006. The manager showed me the invoice on it and I bought it for $30k under invoice. Which was about what used coaches from that year were going for. I did have the full warranty. If you are thinking about buying one of these coaches; don't look at it as a new coach, but as a used one. Drive it off the lot and the market doesn't care that you just bought it, the market says it is a used RV "1,2,3, whatever..." years old. If dealer is still trying to price it as if new, I would walk. I would not recommend one that has sat longer than a year, mine has had more than its fair share of problems. I am looking for a new one.Re: Buying a New MotorhomeAgain thanks for the comments. I have a RV repair shop, less than 30 miles from home, that can do the warranty work for Tiffin. This is one of the reasons I want to stick with a Tiffin, if I can. So, all I need from RV Corral is a good deal. Probably wouldn't take it back to them ever. That is why I don't care where I buy the coach, if the deal is right, I have no problem traveling. They just happen to have the floor model, most of the options we want and in the colors my wife and I like. If it doesn't work, I walk and don't look back. I am not deperate in anyway to make a deal. I have been to Byoung Rv and they were very nice and seemed easy to work with, they just did not have on the lot what we wanted.Re: Buying a New MotorhomeThanks everybody for your comments. I am just trying to learn from others experiences. That way I can kind of know what to expect. When I buy a car there is a lot of info that is available, so I know about what a dealer paid and what to expect for my trade. It helps to level the field. When one is buying a RV, that same info is not available and really places the buyer at a disadvantage. The only info out there that I can find is NADA and forums like this one, where we can learn from each other. Like everybody else, I am just trying to get the best bang for my buck. Thanks again.Buying a New MotorhomeSorry, I know this topic has been covered many times, however when I did a search, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I am looking at a new Tiffin Phaeton 42lh and a dealer has one with the colors and options my wife and I want. The dealer is about 135 miles from me and I have no experience with them at all. I have emailed back and forth with one of the salesman this week and plan on driving up to see coach on Saturday. My questions are: Is 30% off sticker still the number I should be looking For? Anybody have experience with RV Corral in Eugene, Or., that they would be willing to share? Is there any place to find out trade in values on my current Moho? When I bought my current Moho (2007 Allegro bus), I didn't put any money down, is that still an option? Is current interest rates running around 4 to 5%? Thanks in advance and any other advice would be appreciated.Re: Onan Gen Set 7500 DieselI have that same Generator and as a safety feature it will not run or start if the diesel fuel tank is under a quarter. Hopefully it is something simple.
