Thanks for posting your experience. I have heard and read many complaints about Thor RVs. I have not had good service from Good Sam /Camping World. I'm thinking GS does not have access to all potential services. Maybe they don't pay them promptly or enough? I don't know! We have been GS members and Camping World customers for over 13 years. We were traveling through Corpus Christi, TX Tuesday, November 1. Had a blowout. I'm disabled. Called Good Sam. Said they would text or call us with information about who they were sending out and estimated time of arrival. We waited about 45 minutes and still had not heard anything. Called back and had to go through giving them all our information again! Finally they told us it would be about 3 more HOURS before someone could get to us! We told them we were extremely disappointed with them. We decided to call our auto insurance company. We have towing and labor coverage. They had someone respond within 15 minutes! The big problem with a trailer is space at the campsite. Most sites do not have space for a large coach and trailer. If there is room, it may have to go beside your coach. How many pull thru sites are 55+ feet long? It's not easy backing a trailer in a small site at a crowded campground! We had a great time in Alaska! Saw lots of wildlife, including a black bear catching several salmon near Valdez (Allison Point). Denali bus tour was another highlight. We saw several moose, a ptarmigan, dall sheep, caribou and spectacular mountain scenery. Would love to return, but dread the long drive from South Texas! Had tire problem in Soldotna and got ripped off at Midas shop there. STAY AWAY FROM MIDAS Auto in Soldotna!!! Now in South Montana headed home. Edit to change auto repair shop to Midas, not Meineke in Soldotna.463Views0likes0Comments
