I am really learning from your comments so far. I did not know about the flat floor in the Winnie, which is a plus for us at our age. I have heard better remarks about the Chevy over the Ford re. leg room and engine heat. The Winnie does not offer a Chevy option. How important is this? I don't mind "drab" interiors as long as there is quality. I have not seen either unit other than on the internet. I hope this thread will continue. I have a 1999 Santara 351SB, no slide, with the same engine and transmission. My MPG average over 2 years has been 10.5 driving mostly 62 MPH. I paid WAY less 2 years ago with just over 70,000 miles. I would like to drive this highway (between Lajitas and Presidio) in a 35 foot motorhome towing a car. Is this advisable? Is one direction better than the other? I am not a daredevil but have heard this is a very nice drive and would like to try it. Ed1.9KViews0likes7Comments
