Assistance denied on the road!Rockhillmanor, They told me they could not find a contractor with fifth wheel capable tow vehicle.Apparently it's our turn! Assistance denied on the road!Yesterday we experienced a major breakdown of our tow vehicle while traveling through North Carolina. When we smelled a strong odor of diesel in the cab we immediately pulled over. When I opened the hood the entire engine well was coated in diesel. As a GS Life Elite member, I called GSRA at 2:30 pm. Although we were safely on the shoulder of the highway in Greenville NC. I was concerned to get our equipment off the highway in a safe overnight location and initiate appropriate repair on our tow vehicle. At approximately 5:30pm GSRA informed us that they were unable to retain a tow company that could move our tow vehicle to the repair location and get our toy hauler to our destination which was approximately 30 miles away. Totally frustrated and concerned for my family, I contacted AAA RA who worked diligently to find a contractor who did in fact deliver our rv to the rv park and our tow vehicle to the dealer in town. In my opinion, this was a clear demonstration of disregard for the customer and lack of concern for their well being. Clearly being a GS life elite member carried no weight in our situation I will not be renewing our GSRA membership and will continue my AAA roadside assistance. My family's safety comes first.Re: The Big Green EggWe have a Large BGE at home and have used it for almost everything. In fact, I won a cooking challenge here in our hometown on a BGE. I've done everything from cold smoked cheese to Pizza and I'm a strong supporter of the BGE concept and product. It just takes a little time to understand the science and then the magic begins to happen!Re: 2012 Voltage 3950 inquiryWe have had our 3950 for one full season and are very happy with it. Like others, we have had some minor issues, but nothing that you wouldn't expect to find on any other brand rv. We travelled over 10k miles last year. We upgraded our hitch to a 23k when we purchased the Voltage and we're glad we did given our loaded weight and pin weight. We're looking forward to hitting the trail again in April!Re: Voltage toyhaulersWe have a 2014 Voltage 3950 that we haul with a Dodge 3500DRW4X4, Last summer we traveled over 10k miles. The rig was new and like all brands we found some issues. Generally however we've enjoyed the coach and are happy with our choice.
