All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionswater pump issueThis past weekend I ran into a problem with my water pump. Out of the blue while running the water the pump would start making a banging noise like power was being applied, cut, applied, cut, etc. This would not happen the entire time the water was running and only part of the time and more times than not towards the end of water use (flushing toilet, washing hands, etc.). When packing up I could hear the pump kick on for a few seconds and then shut off when nobody was using the water. This I know is a leak in the line or real simple a faucet left on. I looked at all my faucets and found that the outdoor shower was leaking air. This was the part of the hose that screws into the faucet housing. When I wiggled it I could hear air flow. So my question is, could the problem I described with my pump be a result of the outside shower having issues or do I have two problems to fix?Re: LED project on Sundaythanks for all the ideas on this. I have my roll of LED lights and planning to get them installed before my next trip on Oct 9th. I just have the 12 volt LED's and not a controller. I was just planning on putting them on a switch but I like the idea of a remote control too.Re: LED project on Sundayunit505 ... looks awesome. how did you run the wire for the LED up the top? Did you drill into the side of the camper or use the awning arms to snake it down?Re: the search for more storage spaceCalwb .... In my old trailer I had a sofa with a queen pull out that was never used. I pulled the bed out to get the added storage and it worked great. I had to put some supports in as the frame got flimsy without the bed in there. Also put a plywood top on pistons for the open and closure. Its a little bit of work but if your handy the added storage is awesome to have.Re: LED project on SundayMy kit is very similar. The multi-color light will look cool. If I had seen that I might have gone that route rather than the soft white. Once you complete your project please share some pictures. I will do the same.Re: LED project on SundayI was putting the LED strip under the camper (the edge) to add indirect light to the camp sight. I wasn't using it to help see the steps. I currently have a yellow light just behind the steps to provide that lighting. I am also looking into a way to add a LED strip the length of the awning. I didnt get to start the project this weekend. The wireless controller has not arrived yet and had to help the parents with some stuff at their house. Camping this coming weekend so I think this project will be sidelined for a few weeks.Re: LED project on SundayWill do. I will take some pictures along the way of how I end up doing it.the search for more storage spacewell I know this is something that all small TT owners look for and now I am the owner of a new to me 2008 21sso starcraft travelstar HTT. I have been planning some upgrades and the wife said while I am tinkering with stuff i should look into more storage. Soooooooo I took the panel off the bottom of the jack knife sofa but that is where the motor is for the slide. :( no safe storage there .... so my question is. Does anyone know what is under the dinette portion of the slide? Can I squeeze any storage out there? I will probably find a way to see whats under there this weekend but figured I would ask first in case someone already ventured down this road.LED project on SundayWell I just booked a dry camp outing for the weekend of 9/12. Since its always dark there I have decided to do a LED project. I have ordered some water proof LED flexible strips and a few other things. I plan to put the LED strips under the camper right where the side wall ends to add some light without being blinding. If all goes well and I can figure out a way to do it I will also be running some of the same LED's either on the awning roller or just under the awning where it meets the camper wall tho these will be remote dimming :) so many projects ... so little time .... and money :( LOLRe: battery monitoringDakota98 .... I dont even trust it for the holding tanks. I was dry camping this past weekend and had to have my black tank pumped (me + 5 girls = full tank quick). Right after pumping the tank still read full and even my grey was reading full but that was dumped earlier. Only thing it measures right is my fresh water. Yes, good volts equals good amps. I remember reading a post from someone that listed the volts and how they equated to amps on a battery. Was helpful for a high level view into the battery status. I will check out the trimetric and volt minder. Thanks for the advice.
