It makes more noise than a Propane gen. and less noise than your Diesel gen, that is just fact. I do not run my generator at any State or National park unless I need A/C, I than only run it during allowed operational posted hours. We depend on our 12Volt system for all our night time needs. I find it a courtesy to other campers to opeate my Motor Home in that manner. You did not state at what hours you were running your diesel Gen. But I will tell you that in my vast travel around this beautiful country of ours, I have noticed Park rangers shutting down these type generators at any hour. It is there discretion. I have a friend of mine who applied a Propane 'sticker" on his Diesel generator and gets away with pointing to it when the ranger comes by, I tell him he is a dirty bird and God will get him for that action. Pardon my spelling, My spell check is down 2004 22ft Minnie Winnie Chevy 6.0 V8 Phil JusticeRe: Who Performs the Oil Changes on Your CPhil Here. I take my Minnie Winnie to my local mechanic who has a outdoor lift to accommodate the coach. The charge is 49.00 which includes Oil and Grease, Filter, and change the oil in generator. For that price I would not get my hands dirty doing the job my self....... 2004 22 FT Minnie Winnie 6.0 Chevy V8 Phil JusticeRe: Anyone with the Chevy 6.0 Class C?Phil Here. My 2004 22 FT Minnie Winnie with the Chevy 6.0 V8 gives me 10-11 mpg all day long. I have a no-frills Class C with no Slide's, No Awning or Power steps. I do not tow anything. I have a 33 gal. fuel tank and consume a one whole tank of gas a day, 350 miles is my limit on driving. I would not own a RV with a V10. I don't care how much money you think you have? Bad gas mileage is no fun.............. 2004 22 FT Minnie Winnie 6.0 Chevy V8 Phil JusticeRe: Need to buy new tires...any suggestionsPhil Here. I'm owning a 2004 22FT Minnie Winnie. I am looking to install a power roof vent, MaxxAir in place of my crank up non- electric vent over my bunk area. My question is where do I get the 12 volt electric to run the new fan? I have a fabric material on my ceiling and I hope no to disturb the nice application............ The trip that you are planning does not seem to me as being a comfortable or safe vacation. OK. I can say this because we are retired and have all the time that God lets us have. We have found out that in traveling by Motor Home, it takes us the same amount of fuel to go to Yellowstone, The Grand Cannon, The Bad Lands, Mt.Rushmore and every place in between. What what I'm trying to say is you have to stop and Smell the Roses. I suggest that you sit down with pencil and paper and calculate how much money will it cost you to go to your destination and back home. I'm talking about Fuel,Camp fees,Food,Oil changes and wear and tear on your vehicle. I am calculating 2,500 for Fuel alone, Now you do the math. I think you might be surprised to come out with figure of 4,000 or better for your trip. We spend about 5,000 on a five to six week vacation from Florid to the West coast and back, We get to see the highlights of about eighteen states, I drive no more than 350 mi.per day and usually that for only two day at a time. Now once again, We are retired and have that opportunity to travel that way. I suggest you explore the idea of Flying out to your destination, Rent a automobile and find nice accommodations at a lodge. I'm sure there are some nice vacation packages available to you and you family. You will be surprised to see how little difference there is in cost for trips to the same destination. Please consider making your Motor home trip for another time when you can afford that time, Enjoy your Motor home for not to distant vacations. 2004 22Ft.Minnie Winnie 6.0 Chevy V8 Phil JusticeRe: Chevrolet Based Class C *UPDATED AGAIN*Phil Here, I will say it over and over again. My 2002 24 Ft. Dutchman Class C with a Ford V10 gave my 8 to 9 Mpg. My 2004 22 Ft. Minnie Winnie Class C with a Chevy 6.0 V8 now gives me 10 to 11 Mpg. and it handles like a sports car. Three more miles per gallon sure makes it bearable on a three to four thousand mile road trip................................ 2004 22 FT. Minnie Winnie 6.0 V8 Phil Justice
