She was using antifreeze but not leaking it. Bad head gasket. She was charged $11,600 to fix it. Sounds high to me,don't it?New 12 volt compressor refrigeratorsI'm seeing these new 12 volt compressor refrigerators in RVs. Anyone have experience with them? Plusses minusses???"Godzilla" Ford V 8Does anyone know why the new Ford "Godzilla" V8 7.3 liter is rated at 350 HP in a Class C motorhome but 430 HP in a Ford F250 superduty truck? The torque ratings are similar though,In need of opinions, thank youOver the years I've had a 24 ft TT, a 32 ft TT a 33ft Class A (no slides) and recently a 28 ft TT. I wanna get a small Class C. 24 to 26 ft. Mercedes diesel or Ford gas. I realize that gas is cheaper than diesel and Fords are cheaper than Mercedes' What do ya think?New Ford V8What year did the RV manufacturers start putting the new Ford V8 into the class Cs. My brother has that motor in a 2021 Super Duty pickup and gets 14+ mpg average. That old V 10 has been around just about forever. So, what do you think?Anyone know?I see that Ford is now putting the new 7.3 V8 in Class Cs. I prefer it to the old V10 which has been around forever. Does anyone know when they started this? I'm looking for a used Class C a couple years oldRe: When to buy?Everything has gone nuts. I bought a used 2019 Ford F 150 Lariat 18 months ago for $36k. Dealers are asking $42 to $48k for a used '19 now,Chevy V8 vs Ford V 10I've always been somewhat of a "Ford Man" But the Ford V 10 has been around forever and there seems to be tons of new V8s from Ford but I never see them in RVs. How does the V8s from Chevy compare?Overnight camping in DelawareLater this month we're camping in Frontiertown near Ocean City Md. Since it's more than a five hour ride from my home, we would like to go a day early and stay overnight and hope to have only an hour or so ride on our arrival day in Frontiertown. So far though, all the State parks have a two-night minimum. I know that there's a Walmart just about an hour away in Milford Delaware, and I have stayed overnight there years ago, but I'd prefer a real park of some sort. Any suggestions??Cover or not to coverMy last RV (a 33' motorhome I sold 5 years ago) I used to cover for the winter. Now I have a new 28' Travel Trailer. I'm wondering if I should cover it. I remember that water used to penetrate the side material and it was always a pita to install and remove it. Any opinions on the pros and cons of covers??
