My mechanic told me it would be a good idea to find out why the cat converter went bad before I installed one on the road. Didn't want to burn up another converter. I had a muffler shop knock out all of the guts of the cat converter with a long steel rod and re-install it. Drove it home and had everything checked out, just a bad converter. The motorhome ran so much better I ran it with the cleared out converter for over a year. That is until I needed my next CA smog cert!Re: Need pictures, Ready Brake Elite on Honda CR-VI installed the Ready Brake on my 2009 CRV. I don't know if it will help you or not since there were changes in the body styles between 02 and 09. I ran my cable straight through behind the brake pedal. It was a clear shot below the vacuum assist cylinder, behind the battery and down. I anchored my cable to the black plastic below the bumper. It's a recent install, but so far so good. Mounting the break-away was the hardest part. Only place I could find to mount the unit was on the frame in front of the vacuum assist cylinder. It was a very tight area! I needed a LONG drill bit to pre-drill the mounting holes. I don't have any pictures, but hopefully other will have some....Blue Ox KarGard II ?I'm using a Ready Brake Elite towbar with a Blue Ox baseplate on my 2009 CRV. I was thinking about getting a Blue Ox KarGaurd II to try to protect the front of my CRV. Has anyone used the KarGaurd II and what kind of experience have you had? I'm guessing it would work with my set-up since it looks like it will hook-up to the Blue Ox baseplate on the TOAD side. Welcome all thoughts and theories! Thanks!!!Re: 2012 CRV charge lineWhat size wire is recommended to run from the motor home battery CRV battery? I was thinking 10 gage with 20 amp fuses....Re: Brake system choiceI just finished my search for a tow bar and brake system and went with the Ready Brute Elite. I just received it and I am very impressed! I went with the Blue Ox base plate which looks great on my CRV. I found towbarsunlimited.com had the best price, and great customer service too! By time you add every thing up Ready Brute Elite was much cheaper, and simpler.
