Pulled the tank out and the pump was so rusted I can't believe it even ran. Installed a new tank/pump and now runs good as new!Re: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotJim, it bogs and bucks, in neutral i can control the rpm fine, only when under load (in drive) it starts to buck and bog. The more research i do I'm finding a difference between fuel pressure and fuel volume. in some instances you can have good pressure, but the pump can be so clogged the volume is compensated thus starving the engine of fuel. kinda weird and hurts my head. I plan on testing the pressure while driving today. Thank you for the info.Re: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotThe trans will shift manually, what it feels like is the motor starving of fuel and not reaching RPM high enough to shift on its own.Re: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotErnie, I removed the cat and test drove it to see if that was the problem, it was not. Gjac, I changed the fuel filter twice, still had the same problem unfortunately.Re: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotSound advice, thanks guys. I'll keep you postedRe: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotAllbrandauto, I'll get one today and let you know if pressure drops when driving. J-d I removed the catalytic converter by unbolting it and driving with the exhaust ending where the cat would start. It was loud, but would let me know if the exhaust was plugged or not. I haven't checked the coil yet but I plan to do a tuneup with plugs, wires, cap and rotor.Re: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotJ-d, I removed the catalytic converter and still had the same problem so I don't think it is a plugged exhaust issue. The ECU is not throwing a code, I do have a OBD1 scanner and it shows nothing unfortunately. Allbrandauto, is there a fuel pressure gauge that I can use while driving? Because I have good fuel pressure at Idle but this problem only happens under load if I put the car in neutral and rev the engine it revs up to high rpm just fine, soon as I put it in drive it starts to bog again.Re: Dometic RM2804 sparking but will not fireChris Bryant, thank you for your help. You were correct. After I followed your instructions I heard the propane light. Initially there was a flame coming out of the wrong area, burning up the electrical wires. So I turned it off, removed the burner tube, and dumped out a lot of rust/debris. Then I put it all back together, followed your instructions again, and it works great now! MY BEER IS COLD NOW THANK YOU!Re: Dometic RM2804 sparking but will not fireOhhhh ok I was under the impression the knob was to turn the fridge off. Thank you for the reply I will give this a try tonightRe: Ford 7.5L 460 loss of power when hotThose of you who think its a fuel issue I'm leaning that way too. Today I drove the MH and it was fine until i came to a abrupt stop, then started to stall/loose power again. I agree with wrgrs50 theory that when the fuel sloshes around it stirs up some junk and clogs the fuel pump, not letting me accelerate under load. After I let it sit for 15 min, I fired it back up, gave it lots of throttle and took off like a rocket (for maybe a 1/8th mile) This is a fuel injected motor as stated above, also no OBD2 port, those came after 1997. So im ordering a new tank and fuel pump today. Ill let everyone know how it goes after i install it. THANKS!
