My rig (2006 21ft Attitude)has a 100 gallon fresh water tank and I tow with a Chevy Z71 (with rear air bags) It is right at the max towing capability when loaded and my tanks are located over the axles. If going to dez (just 2 hours away), it is filled. If going to beach (an hour away), it is also filled. If going to Mammoth or further (5+ hours away), we wait and fill up in town or at the rest stop. For me, every extra pound I don't pull is worth it and required. And yes, I should go to a bigger truck. But the Tahoe does fine on flat and slight hills (80% of my towing), even with water. It's just the steep, long grades (20% of my towing) that it struggles with.KII 1A-S-20 Replacement LensesHello Everyone: I have been trying to replace my running light lenses (due to sun fade) on my 2006 Attitude Trailer and have been having a hard time finding the exact replacement. I have "searched" this subject, on this forum and found some information on them, but, to my knowledge, not the exact same lens. I contacted Kaper II (that is what the KII stands for and are on my particular lens) and they say they have a ton of them in stock and still make them since so many of their products are still on the road. As of today (May 5, 2015), the cost is $1.00 for each lens and a standard flat rate box shipping of $5.25 via USPS. They are located in Washington State and can be ordered through their customer service at 1-800-336-2011. They have at least 3 different variations of the lens: 1A-S-20A....Amber color 1A-S-20R....Red color 1A-S-20C....Clear color Hope this helps someone else!Re: Low priced leds, fast shippingI have been using mine for almost a year now. Just got back from a full week in Mammoth and they are all still working perfect. Great upgrade in my books !!Re: Costco vs Sams Club 6V Golf Cart BatteriesI finally ended up going back to the original set up...Two-12v batteries I bought from ,,,Yes, Costco. I got their group 24 series (85 amps each x 2 = 170 total amps) RV/Marine Deep Cycle batteries. I would have liked to have bought their group 27 size (115 amps each), but they were just too big for my tray. I have already tried them out on 2 camping trips and I am believer in them again. I was able to watch TV (over an hour) again without that darn inverter warning alarm going off within 10 mins (indicating a low charge) and whenever my water pump turns on now, my lights dont dim or flicker like they did before. One other thing I dont need to worry about...with the 6 volts, if one of them went bad, I was SOL. With the 12 volts, one can go bad and I am still up and running. I took care of my past batteries...almost to the point of being anal about them. All I know, this is my 4th set of batteries since I bought my rig in Dec 2005 (first set of 12 volts were still working when I went to 2-6 volts....second and third sets were 6 volts, now back to 2-12 volts)and that doesnt seem right. I know others love and swear by their 6 volts and that is great...but not me, I am staying with 12 volts from now on.Re: Costco vs Sams Club 6V Golf Cart BatteriesI haven't had much luck with either the Sam's Club or Costco brand 6 volt batteries. Both have only lasted about 3 years. I use my RV on average about once a month (2-3 day weekend). My set of Sam's Club just went out after 33 months. I originally had 2-12 volts deep cycle batteries and replaced them with 2-6 volt batteries from Costco after a friend talked me into it (the 12 volts were still going strong). Almost immediately, I wasnt very impressed with the 6 volt conversion because I really didnt see much of a change in anything. Now that another set has gone tits up, I will either pay extra for the Trojan T-105's or go back to the 12 volts? More than likely, it will be back to some 12 volt Deep Cycle Marine / RV type batteries as was OEM. BTW..I have a very good installed battery charger (Progressive 55amp)in my RV and seldom let my batteries discharge too much. During times in between trips, they were always hooked up to a trickle charger or the RV built in charger (that says you can leave it on 24/7 with no worries)and fluids checked regularly. I found some T-105 for $125.00 and the Costco brand are $90.00 Not much of a difference.Re: Low priced leds, fast shippingAll of my LED's are working great still...except the glue part. I had to use silicone on each and they are now sticking again.Re: Low priced leds, fast shippingWent to the beach last week and finally got around to installing the LED lights I bought. All I can say is I am impressed. I have 3 double light fitures on the ceiling and they are so bright, I only installed one panel on each fixture. Of those 3, I only turn on 2 of them, they are that bright. And the color, in my opinion, are better than the original bulbs. In my bathroom, I have one-double light fixture and put both panels in. Now, everyone says they are blown away how bright it is inside. I replaced my outside floodlights too with the cob style, including the night porch light. Again, plenty of light at a fraction of the power consumption. I have a digital voltmeter inside my toyhauler. When I turned on just 2 of the old style bulbs (1141), the display went from 12.7 down to 11.9 When I replaced the bulbs to LED's (48 panel size), the display went from 12.7 down to 12.6 for the same 2 fixtures. The results for the two outside floodlights (1156) bulbs were just as good. It went from 12.7 down to 11.7. With the 2 cob style inside, it went from 12.7 down to 12.4/12.3 For the outside patio night light, the 1156 bulb went from 12.7 down to 12.1 When replaced it with the cob style LED, it went from 12.7 down to 12.5 The only thing is will they last? Inside Dual Fixture (1141) / LED Replacement Outside Porch Light w/LED Cob Style Outside Porch Light (1156) / Switched to Cob Style LED Outside Floodlights / w/Cob Style LEDRe: Low priced leds, fast shippingWoohoo. I received my 48 panel LED lights. I haven't put them inside the RV just yet, but I did hook them up to a spare motorcycle battery I have and I like what I see. Nice warm lighting. I have the 921 base and the double fixtures on the ceiling. I removed one bulb from each fixture and would usually only turn one or 2 on at a time in the past anyway. The new LED's are not as bright as the 921 base bulbs(not a huge difference though), but since I will be installing both 48 panel LED's in the fixtures, I will have more lighting than before. As for the 3M backing on each of them, considering they are from China, I doubt the originally 3M name brand is being used. I plan on roughing the plate as one other post suggest before I stick them up :) Overall, I am happy with these. Sure glad I found this thread !!Re: Low priced leds, fast shipping JiminDenver wrote: willoughby wrote: JiminDenver wrote: willoughby wrote: Anybody try using the LED's on the outside spot lights on their toyhauler? Are they bright enough? Is there a bigger panel size for the outside? I recently bought a slew of the 48 panel size to replace all of my interior lights. Earlier in the thread I posted a link to a 120 LED cob style light for $5 listed as a fog light I believe. That is what I hope to try on our next trip. I think a cob style would avoid any heat issues with the tape holding the panels up. Unfortunately August is looking like as much of a bust for camping as July was. Jim. Thank you for the info in this thread. I have read it several times and saw the one about the 120 size, but not the link (other than the original, but saw no 120 size on their website...yet). I have been holding off with the LED exchanged due to the higher price, but after this thread, I decided to "try" them out. I will not receive them for a week or so and will have to wait for our next trip (not slated until Sept now...just returned from a week in Mammoth). I thought for sure I had posted this link, this old age stuff is going to get to me one of these days. here is the link to the 120 cob style 120 LED cob style fog light I will not get the chance to try one till I go out in September. Jim. Thanks again. I will have to try these out. I got 6 of the outside spotlights on my RV. I dont need them as bright as the original. Just enough to light some of the area up in the pitch darkness of the desert or forest we camp. For $30.00, it's worth the tryRe: Low priced leds, fast shipping JiminDenver wrote: willoughby wrote: Anybody try using the LED's on the outside spot lights on their toyhauler?
