I hope to be posting here soon when I am full timing!Re: Full Timing Next Summer ~ Thoughts On Thor Motorhomes? Thanks for the response! I have been looking around a bit here in Alaska and it is a great time to buy a RV being there are a lot of winter specials. Why do some people look down on rentals? Because people do not treat them well or because they are going all of the time? ChrisFull Timing Next Summer ~ Thoughts On Thor Motorhomes?Hey everyone, thank you for taking the time to read my post. My girlfriend and I will be full timing next summer in Alaska and I have found a 2011 25c Thor for $30k with 47k miles. The rig was a rental from one of the local rental companies and seems to be very clean inside. However, it appears as though the rental company has been dealing with some leaks in the front near the overhead bed area. I have done some research on both this site and google and have seen some very negative comments regarding Thor. I was hoping to get some info from those who are full timing with a thor and get your opinions. Also, if you do have any suggestions on other brands please let me know! Thanks! Chris1990 Dodge Xplorer Fuel LeakAfter returning home after shooting some photos I noticed a very strong fuel smell. After checking under the van there was a large amount of fuel leaking over top of my transmission. After further investigation it appears my metal fuel line must have broken its mount and fell upon the transmission itself and burned through! The fuel line is set up as follows. -fuel pump to line travels up the drivers side up to the transmission -the line then passes over the transmission -lines are then connected to rubber fuel lines on the other side of the transmission -rubber fuel lines are then connected to metal fuel lines to the engine. My question is would it be advisable to replace the metal line with a rubber fuel line in braided steel? I feel as though as long as I keep it clear of the transmission there will not be a problem. Has any xplorer owners here replaced the fuel line from the tank before? Thank you for your time.Re: Getting Access to Dodge Xplorer FurnaceSearched for a few hours and found this. I will post a link to what I found for anyone else looking into this problem. Turns out it is fairly common with the hydroflames. BTW, my 1990 Dodge Xplorer has the 8516 ii model as I am sure most other people will have the same as mine. http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/3197-furnace-problem/Getting Access to Dodge Xplorer FurnaceHey everyone, thanks for checking my post. I am currently experiencing some very loud belt wine when using my furnace on my 1990 Dodge Xplorer camper van. Before it would squeak for the first 30 seconds or so then stop but now it is constant and I can hear the furnace actually slowing down during operation. I have tried to get into the furnace from both the inside of the van and the furnace plate on the outside of the van with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this problem fixed? Thanks ChrisRe: Can Not Figure Out Rear Window Leak!Awesome, thanks for all the advice! Can Not Figure Out Rear Window Leak!Hey all, thanks for checking out my post. Gas and diesel (and ice cream) were available at the Yukon River crossing. We decided not to go to Coldfoot, never planed to go to Deadhorse. Just the Circle was on our bucket list. No flat tires, no busted windshield, just a lot of mud. Ours is an older Chevy one ton van. When you went were the roads as bad as everyone is saying? ChrisAnyone Taken Their B Up The 11 To Deadhorse, AK?We are planning a bit of a trip this upcoming september.
