If it were me I would set the ball at that height or a skosh higher depending on the hole placement. You won't drop much in the rear with 400-500lbs on it. Remember too that the dry pin number is probably without a battery. Typical G24 RV battery weighs around 45lbs. Fill the propane tanks and you'll have close to you needed 10% tongue weight. I will have to take a look, I dont know if there is a lablel on the receiver, think its a class 5, I was thinking of just getting it home without the WD hitch but the more I think about it I would rather be safe and I am planning a trip either next year or the following out to yellowstone, just trying to save a couple dollars. The problem I am having is I will be driving to Indiana to pick the trailer up at a dealer and wanted to actually measure the trailer and my truck to see how much drop I would need for the hitch, the Ram sits so high in the rear I think I may need a large drop hitch but dont know for sure, also I can get a cheaper one on ebay and save a couple bucks if I knew what I needed.499Views0likes0Comments
