It is much easier to hook-up than traditional w-d and totally took care of the problem. This WD Hitch looks interesting does it work like a traditional WD Hitch?Re: Weight Distribution hitch goducks10 wrote: Apparently someone towed it from the factory empty. Did they or didn't they use a WD? Just call the dealer and have them give you the top of the coupler height with the TT level. If it were me I would set the ball at that height or a skosh higher depending on the hole placement. You won't drop much in the rear with 400-500lbs on it. Remember too that the dry pin number is probably without a battery. Typical G24 RV battery weighs around 45lbs. Fill the propane tanks and you'll have close to you needed 10% tongue weight. If it were me I would order a Blue Ox 750lb WD. Easy to setup and use. Thanks for the Info I will check out the Blue Ox WD Hitch.Re: Weight Distribution hitchI will have to take a look, I dont know if there is a lablel on the receiver, think its a class 5, I was thinking of just getting it home without the WD hitch but the more I think about it I would rather be safe and I am planning a trip either next year or the following out to yellowstone, just trying to save a couple dollars. Thanks guys for all the info.Re: Weight Distribution hitchContacting the dealer is my next step, i was just confirming I even need a WD hitch to begin with. Im sure the 9%tw can become 12% very quickily when adding consumables and such.Re: Weight Distribution hitchThe problem I am having is I will be driving to Indiana to pick the trailer up at a dealer and wanted to actually measure the trailer and my truck to see how much drop I would need for the hitch, the Ram sits so high in the rear I think I may need a large drop hitch but dont know for sure, also I can get a cheaper one on ebay and save a couple bucks if I knew what I needed.Re: Weight Distribution hitchThanks guys, the specs show 4880lbs dry and hitch weight as 440lbs. link below http://www.cruiserrv.com/products-2015/radiance-2/floor-plans-radiance/item/r-24bhds-2015Weight Distribution hitchI have a 2015 ram 2500 4x4 and wanted some opinions if i need a wd hitch, the trailer i am purchasing is a 2015 radiance 28' with a total weight of 4800lbs. and tongue of approx 400lbs.
