The reason is most things ran on 2.4 MHz so there was a lot of interference. You probably had your WiFi signal fighting with something else, that is why it is working good now. In fact 5 MHz is a shorter wave length and doesn't travel as far especially through objects like walls. Rex '06 VH Cumming GA DutchmenSport wrote: A repeater (booster) will NOT speed up the signal. Actually, it will slow it down. We wanted to get an extender for home, so we could get "faster" signals inside the camper when parked at home so streaming video would quit freezing, which it did not do in the house. The guys from Best Buy said they do NOT increase speed, they actually slow it down. I forget the exact amount, but it was something like 50% slower for each repeater in a chain. So the original would be 100%, the second 50%, the third would be 25% of the original, and so on. Turned out, our wifi at home had 2 settings. When we flipped over to 5G, we never had any problems again. This is just something to consider if you are looking for more "speed". You can't get any more "speed" from the original than what it can send and receive, but you will always get degradation. Re: Lazy transfer switch?I would check each wire screw to make sure they are all secure. I found that my generator ground was loose. If you slam the door it is probably causing it to make contact? You can spray some Deoxit D5 on the connection .Re: Slide out trim molding exterior mobilefleet wrote: Prob can find it at pelland. Www.pellandent.com Thank you, I will check them out.Slide out trim molding exterior I have a 1996 Overland with a slide out that has a 1 3/4" plastic molding all the around the exterior edge to cover the space between the slide out and the the side of the motor home. I am trying to reinstall it. The edge of the molding slides into a groove with a string that is in the groove and is one continuous piece. The string is slid in with the molding I assume to wedge the molding into place. I can't get it to stay. I am working on the bottom piece and it falls out. Can someone tell me how to install this properly. Also I am trying to purchase some. Where can I find it. ThanksRe: Rand McNally Rv gps for iPadI have been thinking about buying this app. In fact I bought an Ipad Air with this in mind specifically. I have the 5inch rand McNally - it would be much better on my 9" ipad. As far as I cam tell it is identical to the stand alone units. So if you have an ipad or are going to buy one this is a great deal. I just wish I could import my own pois. Also I don't know if it will have lifetime updates.Re: Engine Down! Cummins ISBAfter fixing this problem, next on your list should be getting Coachnet to ward off the towing problem if there is a next time.Disappearing tire sensorsI have learned the hard way that people who work on my vehicles don't know what tire sensors are. I have the TST system. First about 2 weeks ago I took my motor home to have the brakes replaced. I told the manager about the tire sensors. While talking about repairs to be completed I forgot to give him the tool to take off the sensors. I didn't think a thing about it until he called to say it was ready. Then I remember and said how did they get the sensors off? He said, "what sensors?" He checked with the mechanic and evidently he threw them away. So they had to replace them. The good news is is TST is located in my town. Then yesterday my DW took my toad for new tires. I thought I only needed front tires so I took the sensors off the front. When she got there it was determined that we needed all 4 tires. When she brought the car home I checked the back tires - no sensors. I asked if they happened to give her the sensors for the rear? No. Again a call to the tire place. ( not the same place that did the brakes on the MH) Do you have my tire sensors? No. They have to replace them. At $ 50 a piece those are costly mistakes. At least I keep getting new sensors !Re: Accident on I-24, 15 miles from ChattanoogaWhat county is the tag from? Can anyone read it?
