Bounder with Atwood jacks
My neighbor has an older bounder diesel with a bad Atwood jack. He has been told Atwood is out of business and there are no parts or jacks available. This is an electric jack. In checking further I may have isolated the problem. Opened a panel in driver side rear compartment. Looking at compressor, I checkecd the voltage to it and it was good. Found after unplugging and back in several times the clutch started working and bingo,cold air. So if it comes back I’ll go straight to that connector. I have a 2011 Phaeton 36 QSH. My dash air is working at times. Sometimes if I turn it off and on several times it will start working again. I have checked the fuses. Also the condensor fan runs I can hear it but no cold air. I’m thinking the compressor clutch is not engaging. Maybe open wire or bad clutch. Anyone had this problem and can shed some light on this. At 50,000 miles I got a crankcase pressure high code. After changing many filters they had to pull the head off my Cummins engine. Cylinders glazed and signs of water ingestion. Had a complete overhaul. I proved they were right by pulling air intake hose off filter and putting a bag over the hose. One good day of rain and I had maybe a quart of water in the bag that would have been in the air filter. Has anyone had this problem. Trying to find out if this was a common problem.
