Has anyone stayed at the Jimmy Buffet park in Pigeon Forge? I am considering it as back-up to another park in the area. The rates are competitive-ish considering all of those parks are charging near $100 /night. It appears to be further off the road than most and the amenities seem plenty to keep my pre-teens occupied. Being new isn't bad so long as it isn't unfinished. Nothing worse than seeing all of the things that WILL be fun in the future while the kiddos track the mud in from where the grass should be. The lack of pictures on their website leaves me a bit concerned to its current state of completion. Thanks. We drove through it a couple times when we visited over Memorial Day weekend. Nice resort. Grass is grown in and it does not look like a "work in progress" resort. The pool was smaller than I would have expected and the crowded Memorial Day weekend showed that. I would stay there but it is a little pricey at $120+/per night. Location is good.Month/Year of MfrWhen time is right I will consider a Class A built in 2020 as long as I can determine that the date of mfr of the house was prior to 3/20(start of COVID shutdowns). Are there stickers on a Class A that show the month and year of a fully completed motorhome like a car? tksRe: Florida Spring Break RV PArk kfp673 wrote: Cecilt wrote: We have a 16 year old son and his schools new Spring break that started this year is the last week in March and same in 2023. We would like to go to Florida next year but don't want to do Fort Wilderness as we have done Disney 5 times already. Would love a resort like Ocean Lakes or Fort Wilderness with tons of stuff, people, golf cart riding etc. We spend most times at the CG so doing touristy stuff is not at the top of our list. Hard to find a similar Ocean Lakes or Ft Wilderness CG in Florida so looking for any suggestions. Thanks We have gone 2 years now to what was originally called Cabana club now part of the Margaritaville RV resort chain that is growing. Smaller but super nice, clean, tons of activities for kids a nice pool and a brand new second pool. Also right next door to a wake board / water ski park if your teen is up for that. Check it out. Thanks. Where in Florida is this located?Florida Spring Break RV PArkWe have a 16 year old son and his schools new Spring break that started this year is the last week in March and same in 2023. Seems I always miss a turn or exit and I get into some interesting situations. tksRe: Factory Floor Repair at KeystoneVery interesting. We have a 2014 Keystone Outback with a kitchen slide(stove and refrigerator), an island with the sink in front and a backside slide that is 19' long by 36". The entire floor when you retract the kitchen slide has progressively gotten soft. We did a water test and did not find water. Under the sink(island) the flooring is solid. Getting soft areas in front of the island between the island the very large single slide as well. Conclusion is the foam has broken down. Too much weight with the refrigerator and stove constantly going over the floor. In addition, not enough lateral support between joists. You can almost tell where one support is and it is almost 4' apart from the next. It really ticks me off as when it it time to sell it will be very hard as someone will think water damage or just not want to deal with a soft floor on an otherwise TT that looks 6 months old inside and out due to how I treat and take care of this unit. I never tried to go after Keystone since I am so far out of warranty but maybe there is hope. Doubt it though.Best Campground for Universal StudiosWe are planning a trip for spring break 2021 and think we will do a few days at Universal first before heading to Fort Wilderness. We could make the drive between the Fort and Orlando but feel there has to be a better place to stay for 2-3 nights around Universal rather than make the trip back and forth. Any suggestions? TksRe: Holly Bluff Campground Asheboro NCZooland in Asheboro is good for an overnight.Re: Winter Camping - Golf Cart Mamakat35 wrote: Thanks for all the good advice... As far as the battery tender.. a golf cart has 6 batteries so I’d need 6 tenders..... not convenient. I’m pretty adept at the winter camping otherwise... just never has a golf cart... sounds like I should be good since it would be used/charged approx 2x /mo at least! You're probably referencing my post. Tender is not what I was referring to. Maybe I should have said float. My charger can stay plugged in 24/7 as it floats once the batteries are fully charged. After about 28 days it kicks on automatically and brings them up to charge. My last charger did not work this way. My old one you would have to unplug once they were charged and then plug in after 20 days as it did not have the float capability. Get a good battery charger that has float and no need for extra tenders etc.Re: Winter Camping - Golf CartIs your charger a battery maintainer as well. My current charger will fully charge and after about 28 days will automatically click on and bring the batteries up to full charge. I leave my cart plugged in 24/7 when not using it for the few weeks I use it at the beach in the summer. If your charger is like this leave your switch in run not tow. If you leave it in tow it will not charge 100%.
