Currently staying in the Harlingen area but will travel anywhere in Texas for a good shop. Would appreciate any recommendations.Re: RV Sites for sale in FloridaThanks all for the great feedback. Most of the parks mentioned I haven't seen on the sites. I tried RVparky which showed many sites but most were rent with no sales. I'll check out the sites mentioned by you, avan. Your idea of spending a season and checking out sites a couple of weeks at a time is a good idea. We are very new to RV'ing in general. Slowly picking up the "ins and outs" of the lifestyle. Thanks again.RV Sites for sale in FloridaWe have a 2003 Travel Supreme DP 40' coach. The plan is to go full-time in the Spring. We are looking for an RV site to purchase on the Gulf Coast side of Florida. I have checked "RV Park Store", "Craig's List", and a few other popular sites as well. They appear fairly limited when you consider the size of the state. Does anyone know of a source that covers the majority of RV Parks with sites for sale?Tires Michelin vs YokohamaI have a 2003 Travel Supreme 40" RV. Currently have Michelin 295/80, 22.5 tires that are almost 10 years old with only 20,000 miles. I have read and been told that dry rot can lead to a blow out. Looking at replacements, (6 tires) Michelin @ $6+K and Yokohama @ $4+k. Not sure which is best. Anyone have experience with Yokohama tires on their RV? Don't want to cheep out if Yokohama is not a good tire. Would appreciate some insight. Also, anyone know of other makes as well? Thanks.Re: Electrical ProblemGreat suggestion prism. We are making our second trip this weekend and will deffinately see if the other side becomes active on sp. I have a feeling it will. Thanks again.Re: Electrical ProblemTested most of the features during the purchase, didn't think of the outlets. Also, didn't have a need to use them when we went out on our first trip. So, when we got back to storage and I used the inverter for ac that's when I "discovered the situation". As I mentioned this is our first RV and I don't know anyone who owns a unit to get these sometimes dumb questions answered.Re: Electrical ProblemSo, just to bring things up to date. After becoming a pseudo expert in Xantrex inverter/chargers by reading the tech material until my eyes crossed, then emailing their support team my problem was solved by one of their tech support people. They were were very helpful and knowledgeable. To sum it up, this was a major DUH! moment. After giving the tech person the model number he told me that it has a single AC feed which will power one side of the RV only. Since the outlets on the other side of the RV have never worked since I purchased it I never thought that this was a normal condition. So, all is well. Again, my thanks to all of you who responded.Re: Electrical ProblemThanks lanerd for the inverter suggestion, makes sense. I'm still quite new to the RV scene. For the other folks who weighed in, thanks. I have rehab'd 4 houses in the past and have some knowledge of electrical systems. The first thing I did before buying a new GFI was to "push the reset button" several times. Also, as previously mentioned I couldn't find any other GFI's inside or outside. Tested each outlet with a circuit tester as well. So the most logical course before hiring a RV electrician is to try the inverter reset suggestion. Thanks to you all. I'll let you all know what happens.Electrical ProblemI have a 2003 Travel Supreme DS02 RV. The a/c outlets on the Driver's side of the RV are dead. This includes the Bath Room, Living Room, and in the Power cable area. I've checked the breakers and fuses but all are in order. Replaced the GFI in the bathroom but still no current. Couldn't find any other GFI's on that side of the RV. Not sure what to do next. Does anyone know of a good RV Electrician in the Albuquerque area?
