I should have said 11000 on TVRe: I have a weight dilemma.. what would you do?I know what I have to do. Maybe if I trade for same color vehicle with dually DW won't notice!! hehe:BRe: I have a weight dilemma.. what would you do? rhagfo wrote: upsfella wrote: I do own both units. I really don't want o have to worry about weight if I'm going on a longer trip. Bought truck first and DW fell in love with camper. I know I know Well if the rear axle weighed 11,000# you have a real issue!! :B If it bothers you like I said before get a bigger TV. Otherwise post some scale weights! TV ratings Front GAWR = Rear GAWR = Weigh empty TV Front axle = Rear axle = Weigh Package ready to go on a trip. TV Front axle = Rear axle = Trailer axles = haha my bad on rear axel weight. meant to say tvRe: I have a weight dilemma.. what would you do? bid_time wrote: stevewise wrote: It is not just if the truck can handle it or if you are comfortable driving it, but if something was to happen and an accident occurred the insurance company is going to refuse your claim, because you were outside the limits of your vehicle. Totally false statement. Here we go! I appreciate al the views. I'm trying to balance the 4k hit to upgrade my tv. Very much leaning toward the upgrade and chalking this one up to being over zealous. Yes the hit will hurt but i'm guessing the peace of mind will take precedence. Now... If I make the trade how am I going to break this to the DW.!!! lolRe: I have a weight dilemma.. what would you do?I do own both units. I'm not sure if this is the place to put this but I'm looking for as much input on this forum as I can get. Thanks for you help. By the way pickup only has 1000 miles on it!! Ouch. I know, I know probably should have done more research. I would love to here some thoughts and suggestions.Re: extrovert/introvert upsfella wrote: Tony&DiannesRV wrote: It's a controversial issue for sure. We all have different dreams. We should give that up because our spouse isn't on the same page? That is being selfish. Life is too short. I am not a big fan of riding long distances on the back of hubby's Harley, but understand his dream to take a very long ride somewhere beautiful. So I encouraged him to go. He went with a buddy and loved it; I enjoyed the time alone. And I hope he goes again, if he wants to. It's my dream to travel across this country by RV, not his. But he is willing to compromise and be my chauffeur. He is open to the possibility that perhaps he too may get something wonderful out of our planned trip. You will always come home again to live out your years. I want to travel while we are still healthy and have the means to do so. Yes, I will miss my friends and family. But these days, there's Facetime, email, texting, and blogging to keep in touch. Sounds like a toy hauler could be an option. win win
