Does anybody have any input on these roofs? Pros/Cons. Thanks in advance.Re: I85 area campground Virginia, North CarolinaThanks for the replies. This will be my secondary route from CT to Ga. If the weather looks OK I plan the I84, I81 route and stay at the KOA in Natural Bridges. The I95, I85 route will be if the weather looks iffy more inland. Hopefully any bad weather will hold off.I85 area campground Virginia, North CarolinaI'm doing a google map search for a campground convenient to I 85 in the Virginia, North Carolina border. I'm not really finding anything. This will be an overnight stop while traveling to Georgia Dec. 26th. Defiantly would need power and prefer sewer. Any suggestions that I'm not seeing?Re: No need for toilet bowl brush ?keep a spray bottle of Lysol near the toilet. A few squirts of a straight stream and everything is removed from the sides. Save on water if your dry camping also because you flush less and don't have to use a water sprayer.Re: Campground near Hartford Ct for the weekend of the May 31st brighteyes818 wrote: A little fyi for those in the area we just noticed that Lake Compounce is going to have a Campground called Bear Creek.. I'm not sure if it will be open yet for this OP event you could try,,, 860-583-3300. It lists they are going to have RV hook ups/sewer. This one is right in Bristol which is maybe 6-7 miles from Hartford.. This would be a good option. Nelson is a good campground but not exactly the quickest to Hartford. You would have to go up Rt 66 north to Rt 2 into Hartford or 66 south to Rt 9 to I91 to Hartford. I think Bear Creek would be best if you can get in.Re: Campground near Hartford Ct for the weekend of the May 31stIs the wedding in Hartford or another town?Re: loose roof ladderChances are the star nut nut is rusted out. I had to repair mine last year. I took the ladder off and brought it to a bike shop to match up the rise size ID of tube and got new stainless screws at the hardware store. Google an image of a star nut and you'll see what I'm talking about.RI South County Hot Air Balloon FestHas anyone camped at this fest? What was your experience like? I understand it's dry camping and the one picture they had on the web site looked like your were pretty much parked real close to your neighbor. I was on the web site last week but a few days later it appears it was taken down. I'm alittle concerned about that.Re: Maxxair vs Maxxair II coverSorry to hijack the thread but I switched from the Maxxair to the Maxxair II over my vent with the fan. I noticed on both covers that they don't allow the crank up cover to open fully. I get noticeable improvement if I climb on top of the camper and open the Maxxair II while I camp. Why wouldn't they make the Maxxair tall enough to open the crank cover fully? I have to say I'm alittle disappointed in that fact. Do other brands allow to fully open crank up cover?Keep spices dryHas anyone figured out away of keeping your spices ie. salt, onion powder, garlic powder from becoming a clump of spices in the jar? I've tried the rice in the salt container with no real results.
