I can tell you my experience so far being a younger man (33), is I get the same type of attitude a lot. The other thing that I noticed is a lot of rv parks are not interested in kids staying there. I have called several in this area, and they just say sorry no kids allowed. I can tell you that I will never stay there now with or with out my children. I bought the coach to spend time with my family, and frankly would rather stay in a walmart parking lot somewhere then be treated like that. I am hoping its just this area, and will continue to search for our normal spots.Firewood??Ok one more silly questions. I know the CG will more than likely sell firewood, but I hate to pay a premium for something like this. What does everybody do? Do they buy firewood there? Do you never have a fire? Or do you bring your own? I was thinking of loading some wood to bring, but I can't find anybody selling any around me. Any suggestions on where to get wood, is it worth fining? I really want to have a nice fire to enjoy some smores with the kids.Re: Generator on for Ac while travelingThanks for all the input. I didn't know if that was a norm or not. Our class A has about 32,000 miles but right at 100 hours on the genny. So when I was doing my math either the previous owner didn't run it much in the summer, didn't use the ac, or I am just wrong on the amount of hours I feel it should have. This is what got me thinking. Thankfully I asked because I would have been flipping out if the air shut off with a quarter tank left. LOL Thanks for all the adviseRe: Generator on for Ac while travelingGood advise, I appreciate it.Re: Where to stay in Eureka Springs?subscribedRe: Where to stay in Eureka Springs? Please post back where you stayed, and what you thought. I am planning the same trip soon.Re: Lake of the OzarksI am staying at music land campground for the memorial day weekend. I can repost and tell you what my thought was on it.Generator on for Ac while travelingI am getting ready to take our first voyage in our new (new to us) Class A. I am wondering should i run the generator and the roof AC while traveling to cool the inside of the coach? What is the norm. Will it hurt anything to do this? I know the front AC by the driver is broken, so this would be the only source of AC for the unit. What is your advise?2000 Georgetown 306, No heat or ACI purchased this motorhome about 3 months ago and finally had a chance to take her out for a couple hours. When driving down the road the switch on the dash does nothing as far as directing heat. The blower turns on but it only goes to the floor. There is no heat, just the air from the outside. I tried to turn on the ac also but it does the same thing. Any hint's or suggestions on where to start looking. I have heard their is some vacuum hoses.Re: Sound Proof Dog HouseI would use the dynamat, it has been around in the audio industry for years. It is a quality product and easy to use. I have used this in several cars to make parts not rattle and soundproof the car.
