PDI ListRe: I77 From Columbia SC to Charleston WVWe've taken that route a few times (both directions) in our E-450 (6.8L V10) based Class C motorhome. I didn't think it was bad at all. We didn't break any speed records going up but that's okay, we got there.Re: Safe method of financial transaction at sale timeWe received an offer from an out of state buyer and he says he can provide us a certified bank check. Is that a safe avenue? Better than or different than a cashier's check?Safe method of financial transaction at sale timeWe have our present rig up for sale and am preparing for the eventual sale. I'm looking into a safe method of completing the financial transaction at the time of sale. The present state of things in this world makes for a lot of headaches when dealing in financial areas. I won't trust any type of check and the sale price is too high to expect cash. I am thinking about a direct bank to bank transfer of funds. My credit union said the buyer would have to set that up at his bank and then I would have to provide that bank the routing number and my account number. It's a bit scary to me to have to provide that information to a strange, probably out of state bank. But I guess that information is on every check we write. Is this a safe method? Any other safe methods?Re: Hydraulic leveling sustem alarms on and off while driving? We experienced the same thing last month on our drive down to Florida. We have Bigfoot levelers. I called a contact phone number I had of a guy at Bigfoot and he said one of the levelers was probably down 1/16th of an inch causing the alarm to sound. He instructed me to tighten the bolt on the bottom of each leveler pad. I had gotten off the highway and really didn't want to go crawling under the rig in freezing temps so I thought I would simply lower each leveler a short distance and then retract them and see if that would solve the issue. Luckily that is all it took. Never heard the alarm the rest of the trip.Re: Carrier Air V A/C replacementSo fishing the wiring through the ceiling and down the wall to the new thermostat location was not a big deal for them? And not an expensive project?Re: Carrier Air V A/C replacementsch911 & DouglasC, Did you have an existing wall thermostat before the AC unit was replaced?Re: Carrier Air V A/C replacementI did see that conversion kit mentioned in a post from many years ago but it uses the control box from the carrier unit. And I'm reluctant to use an electrical part from a 13 year old unit. It would be an easy fix though. I guess for the cost it could be used until the control box gave out.Carrier Air V A/C replacementWhat are my option for replacing our 13 year old Carrier Air V air conditioner? I know Carrier no longer makes RV air conditioners. The unit is tied into controlling the furnace. The remote control controls the furnace operation as well as the air conditioner. Thus we do not currently have a wall mounted thermostat for the furnace.Re: Turn signalsThank you. Yup, nobody got hurt, nothing was damaged that couldn't be fixed, and it got done. Well, on second thought, I guess i did get hurt on the fall after tripping over the power cord in the dark but that's an unrelated saga. ;)
