It's an easy drive to Traverse City (maybe 15 miles) and has the bonus of being across the road from the world famous Interlochen Music School.Coachmen FreelanderWe're looking to downsize from a Class A and like the floorplan of the Freelander 21QB. Anyone have any experience with gas mileage with this model? It is available with either a Ford or Chevy engine.Re: Advice on Sprinter MHThank you all for the encouraging advice. We do plan to ask to see the service records and do a thorough inspection. We're really looking forward to downsizing from a Class A!Advice on Sprinter MHWe are considering purchasing as used 2013 Winnebago View (31000 miles) but are leery of the Mercedes engine. We read so many great things then we also read about all of the problems people had. We realize the upkeep is more than a gas engine. Any real world advice? We know next to nothing about Diesel engines so any input would be welcome.Tow Plate Install Recommendations N/E Detroit SuburbsLooking for options for tow plate/wiring installation for our new Ford Edge. We live in Sterling Heights, MI. Have talked to Camping World and General RV but would like to know of other options. TIA!Re: Bryce CanyonAnyone know if the Federal "geezer" :) pass is accepted at the campground?Re: Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore campingYou could also try Interlochen State Park. It's a bit of a drive (30 miles) to Sleeping Bear but you can almost always get a site. There is also the advantage of proximity, right across the road, to the famed Interlochen Music Camp. There are scheduled concerts, both free and paid, and if the camp is in session you can walk, wander the campus and enjoy the music from the supremely talented young people in attendance.Re: Using senior discount with Reserve America? When you enter your payment info there is a space to enter your senior pass card number. The discount is automatically applied before the purchase is complete. When you arrive at the campground and check in you have to show your card.Re: 2010 and 2011 Winnebago Vista 30W OwnersHey! We'll be in Yellowstone then also. We're leaving Monday, Aug. 22, going through the UP (Michigan's Upper Peninsula) and to Yellowstone that way. We've been to Y'stone five times before but we've never been this route. Our first reservation is at Madison on the 29th, we're moving on to Bridge Bay after a week then are going to wing it after that. Our Vista is brown, white & beige and we'll be towing a black Ford Edge with Michigan plates. Look for us and say Hi!Re: 2010 and 2011 Winnebago Vista 30W OwnersGoldencrazy, we're at Interlochen State Park near Traverse City, right across the street from the world famous Interlochen Music Camp. This is a gem of a park. There are two lakes for fishing, swimming etc. Most of the sites are level and wooded for shade and privacy. Interlochen was Michigan's first State Park and the three campgrounds provide the most campsites of any Michigan Park. One of the campsites is primitive but the two larger ones have electric and of course there is a dump station at each of the other campgrounds. You should visit some time, it's a really nice park.
