My Power does not turn on fully.
My 97 Monaco is currently plugged into the house supply in my yard. The switch as you exit was turned off. I walked inside and turned on the switch. The Ac thermostat and some of the lights are not turning ON. If I wait a while, they may turn ON. why the delay?878Views0likes8CommentsRe: Need Help understanding Charging System on my RV.
Thank you both very much for the input. My microwave/convection oven appears to be plugged in to an outlet running on an inverter. The clock is on all the time even when I am not docked on shore power. I have a 1997 Monaco Windsor. It is my understanding that the Alternator charges the battery bank some when the engine is running. A refrigerator and a few lights should be acceptable when driving. When the RV is plugged into a 220VAC 50amp service. It charges the battery bank and will allow both rooftop AC systems to run if the battery bank is charged. Do the outlets run directly off the service or do they run on generated voltage per the inverter? When the LP generator is running, is it bad or dangerous to have the service connected? If service is connected while generator is running, what happens? Which source gets kicked out otherwise the AC power sources would likely be out of phase. Does power from the generator go directly to the outlets or does all of the power go to an inverter?1.1KViews0likes6CommentsTracing the dash A/C
We are trying to get the dash A/C clutch to engage. Here is what I have. The pressure is the same as what is in a can. The fuse at the dash is showing 12v on both sides with A/C on. My son saw what looked like a white and dark wire going to a sensor on the heat exchanger by the dash. He jumped the two and nothing. The wire at the fuse is brown. The wire feeding the A/C clutch is blue. What is between the two? My guess is fuse, relay, pressure switch, clutch. Is there a diagram? We have a 1997 Monaco Windsor with a 23.5 x 59" opening for a refrigerator. It currently has a Haier brand. The problem is that the refrigerator looks new and does not work. However, it does not work because it is the type with the hot coils located in the walls and there is no ventilation. The compressor is locked up. Are there any units this size for a house that has the hot coil on the bottom with a fan? Is it worth the trouble to get a compressor with a coil and replace?1.5KViews0likes8CommentsAllison transmission fluid change interval.
My wife just purchased a 1997 Monaco Winsor. It is a diesel with Allison transmission. It has 40K miles. I am thinking of changing the ATF mostly due to age. I think it takes about 35 quarts and filters ($400). What is the normal change interval? We are picking it up in a day or so after we get insurance squared away.
