Our research told us we needed to have a certificate that showed our cat was in good health, and had appropriate shots. We went to our vet and he supplied the statement. We were never asked about the cat in all the border crossing we had. They are more concerned about raw food products, alcoholic beverages, and guns. Have a great trip, our cat seemed to love it.Re: Help picking my next RVI have a Prism RV also on a Mercedes Sprinter Chassis, 3500 series. I have not done towing so I cannot speak to that, but can tell you that the chassis and engine are really great and I just completed a 18 K journey to Alaska and back. If you are really interested in great pulling power I would suggest you look at Nexusrv.com. They have a super C on a school bus chassis. They sell direct from the factory. Check out the website and see if this helps. Good luck on your search.Duel WheelsI have a Coachman Prism 2013 on a Mercedes Sprinter 3500 chassis. This summer I logged 18 K miles on a trip to Alaska and back. I can say I am basically very pleased with the performance of my RV, but as we were going to be going over a great deal of tundra gravel roads, I wanted a way to be able to manage and review tire pressure. All the research I had done said that one major cause of accidents with RV's was tire failure due to low pressures. The problem is that the Coachman and all the other's who build on this chassis have great looking wheel covers, that do not allow you to do pressure checks on the Duel Wheels. I purchased valve stem extensions, and had them installed finally by a tire dealership. The tire shop had said that they have problems with the extensions leaking and they do not allow you to have the good looking wheel covers on. The tire shop had mentioned that if you had aluminum wheels you could have attractive wheels and still have the ability to check pressures. We found that indeed the stem extensions leaked and I had to carefully check each day, and had a high pressure inflator on board to keep the pressures right. Any suggestions on how to have attractive wheels and the ability to pressure check?Re: 2013 Winnebago 188hp Mercedes 24ftI have a similar class C, a Prism on a Mercedes 3500 chassis. I have just finished a 100 day trip to Alaska and back to Florida. I am very pleased with the performance of my Sprinter engine and chassis. Like any other engine you must pay attention to insure cooling systems, air filters, and engine oil are changed and maintained on a proper basis. We were very pleased with having oil and filter changes at Jiffy Lube. The engine takes 13 quarts of oil and we use synthetic as we did a lot of grade climbing. The engine and transmission system makes this coach climb like a goat. I am a believer in the system and would say go for it.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2014We plan to do Alaska in 2014. We intend to cross into Canada after visiting Glacier Nat Park sometime in Mid May. Our intention is to take our time and explore Alberta and Yukon before going into Alaska. Then up to Fairbanks, down past Denali to Anchorage and out to Homer. Ferry explore the coast to Prince Rupert. Then to Vancover, and Victoria. Then down the US west coast to San Diego, and back to Fort Mill, SCRe: Good Vegan Recipe SourceI have tried turning vegan and always thought that vegan food lacked ample variety and flavor, and I am a retired club general manager from the private club industry and a foodie. Check out the book Eat to Live by Dr. Fuhrman. He has a website as well and with a small membership fee access to a great number of tasty and very interesting recipes drfuhrman.com .Re: Fiver to Sprinter typeWe recently purchased a Coachman Prism SE 2014. It has a queen bed, one slide, with a dining area that makes into another bed, as well as a cab over bunk, all on the Sprinter chassis. I looked at both Winnebago and Navion as well, found Coachman to be a better value. There is a large variance between dealers to it pays to shop around. I am 6'6" and have plenty of head room.Satellite TV Service, Canada and AlaskaI am in the process of purchasing satellite antenna and also receiver. We plan to travel to Alaska next year and will drive up Canada, and take a portion of the trip back on the Ferry portion of the Alaska Highway. Will Dish or Direct TV handle those laditute or do we need to get service from Bell Canada once in Canada?
