We had it in the shop and the inverter was replaced because we weren’t getting power to any of the outlets running through it. I picked it up and only tested it on inverter and on generator power and all was fine. When I got it home and plugged in to shore power I ran the vacuum cleaner for about ten seconds before it died. The inverter panel showed an over voltage error. I checked several outlets that I knew ran through the inverter with a multimeter and it showed 242 volts. That explained the dead vacuum. I’ve ruled out the pedestal since it did the same at the one at the shop. I don’t know if it has a separate transfer switch or not as I’ve never seen one in all my poking and prodding over the years but that’s my best guess as to the issue. No word from the shop yet but just wondering if anyone has had such a problem.Re: No 12v=no 110v???I do have an EMS system in our 06 Bounder. That needing 12v to work seems logical. I spoke with a tech from Splendid this morning who said the main control board is defective. They are sending out a new one so hopefully that will remedy the issues. Thanks for the responses everyone.Re: No 12v=no 110v???I don't expect to be able to run the unit off the inverter. My question is why would having the house batteries connected be necessary when plugged in to shore power and is this normal. No 12v=no 110v???About a month ago our Splendide washer/ dryer combo burned up. We had the unit replaced with a new 2100xc and are having issues with it. After our first load in it had been drying for quite awhile I checked the unit to find it still running with all the lights flashing. I turned it off and took out the clothes but it would not turn back on. I flipped the breaker to it and let it stay off to reset the unit but it still wouldn't power back up. After some head scratching and trying different things I hit the house battery disconnect for the heck of it and when turned the batteries back on the washer powered up. My question is why would this have reset it? If it is on and I turn the batteries off it kills all power to it. Why would it need power from the batteries for that plug to operate. It won't power on from the inverter when disconnected from shore power which should be correct. Help!?!Re: Another happy Suncoast Designers customer. We had ours done several weeks ago there also. We joked that it was like high definition looking out them now. They are super friendly and have a great operation. We couldn't be happier.Re: Samsung Fridge QuestionsWe installed the Platinum color about a year and a half ago and have loved it. Fingerprints are not an issue. We boondock often without using the leveling jacks and haven't had any issues with it so far. I did the install myself and getting the old one out was the worst part.Re: Bicycle coverThanks for the suggestions. I bought a large grill cover and will give that a try.Bicycle coverI've searched high and low for a cover for the two bicycles we carry on our ladder. It appears Swagman used to make one for this purpose but has discontinued it. Is anyone using one of the hitch mount carrier covers on their ladder with any success? Help!Re: Ford Flex adaptive cruise controlI removed the two connecting brackets where the tow hitch connects from the camper before I left the hitch place the first time thinking it might interfere. We have turned off the adaptive cruise control, which has to be done every time the car is started, but have discovered an even bigger issue. The frontal collision warning system will alarm when no one is around causing the car to brake suddenly and aggressively. There is no off switch for this. After reviewing the receipt from hitch company I see they installed diodes for the brake lights and wonder if that is a possible issue.
