The default gain is 10 which I assumed was the max. In reality, the gain can be set all the way up to 20.Re: Brake ControlerHard to beat a Tekonsha P3. That's what we use on our car hauler behind MH w/air brakes.Re: Will any of these MODS effect ride quality ?Now I see that you actually replaced a stock bar. The Roadmaster sway bar is most likely much stiffer than the stock bar (which are sometimes even hollow). A stiffer sway bar will transfer more shock encountered on one side to both sides thus given a slightly harsher response. But at the same time that stiffer bar is more resistant to roll or body lean. Also have seen some reports that the Koni FSD's have a break in period after which they ride smoother. Lastly, make sure your tire pressures are correct for actual weight and placement on the vehicle (single/dual). Go to tire manufacturer site, not necessarily door sticker unless updated by coach manufacturer.Re: Will any of these MODS effect ride quality ?The sway bar can actually give you a slightly harsher response to potholes since some of that shock will now be transfered to both sides of the suspension. The sway bar is meant to control sway or lean of the rig by somewhat tying both sides of the suspension together via a torsion type spring bar. Whereas you were more independent from side to side before albeit tied together by a solid axle housing. The track bar can also transfer a little rear axle shock to the frame as well. However, both of these effects should not be severe and overall handling with the modifications you mention should be greatly improved. The FSD shocks are not manually adjustable and should be an improvement over OEM shocks. I would suggest however to have your installer go for a ride and also do a once over to make sure everything is tight and installed correctly.Re: Exhaust manifold bolt ... advice needed!Had a similar broken bolt on my 5.4 Triton F150. Spray around the broken shaft with a good penetrating lubricant and drive it thru a number of heat cool cycles. Respray and do it again. I personally use Aerokroil. When I removed the manifold, I was able to remove quite easily with vice-grips. Tapping (good hard tap) on the other bolts prior to removal as suggested is a very good idea too. Good luck. My truck no longer clatters on cold start after repair.Re: Zion vs. Bryce campgroundsI have to agree with most here that 2 days is not enough to do justice trying to visit both parks. We did just that about a dozen years ago and will have to revisit both to fully explore in the next few years. We visited in July and Bryce was completely over-run at the time. We ended up staying overnite at King Creek USFS campground west of Bryce. At that time, King Creek was a very quiet and nice respite from the Bryce madness. You may want to look into that campground or someone else may want to chime in wIth more current info about King Creek. Whatever, you decide, both Bryce and Zion are must see National Parks...Re: new park in louisianaProbably will get over-run by drunk and disorderly's (PWT) riding all over the park in loud customized golf carts like at Cajun Palms RV Resort. Hope not though.Re: Dynamax hlmurray wrote: chazfaz wrote: Thanks for the informative responses, we will be checking one out next week. son inlaw bought new dynamax dx3 at berryland in Aelabama recently...on way back to tenn. discovered rear air bags wernt working at all scraped tail on incline and messed up fiberglass call berry land they said it was his problem.. also found latch on drawer broken big slide on passenger side had no insulation or weather protection under it.. total exposed to weather numerous other quality control items, beware of berry land in Alabama if they get the money their done with u. bad dealership faulty motor home horrible for new unit. Like how he posts the first day he joins... AND has all sorts of SIL, BIL, 3rd cousin things to state.. First off the Air Bags would be factory Freightliner issue since the M2 would have been equipped that way. The rear overhang on most class C's require some awareness and minimal driving skill to avoid dragging or scraping the sides even if the air suspension was working properly. On our M2 each side is independant on the rear and if not working (no air) would have been obviously down too low to the ground. Pre-trip walk-around would have prevented me from driving such an obvious unsafe vehicle... Be interested in knowing how he determined no insulation on slide since it would have been sandwiched under the fiberglass and aluminum and be inside the latticework of the aluminum/steel slide frame. Pictures would be nice to show actual issues. Regarding the dealership, sounds like poor customer service, why not contact Dynamax CS directly??? Strange however, that Berryland is in Louisiana (not Aelabama) and also has an A+ rating with BBB.Re: Car haulerI believe in overkill when towing on my car hauler. I use crossed straps with protected loops on rear axle and front A arms. Then a second set of straight straps with T hooks to the factory frame slots to control sprung mass. I have never had a strap loosen during transport with this arrangement, but also could have two straps fail and still be secure. I know its overkill but just like when we tow four down, I don't want issues when travelling. As far as tie downs go, look at Mac's Tie Downs. Also read some of their articles, lots of good info and stories for thought...... Mac's Tie DownsRe: Changing cabinet door for Dish ReceiverLooks good. Another option would be to use an IR repeater. We placed the rcvr above the TV and the Xmtr on top of the sat box pointing forward. Then put shiny foil tape on back side of original door to reflect to front of sat box. Only mentioning it here for those of us that don't have your wood working skills. Again great job on your door mod.
