I am going to flat tow my 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk behind my motor home. I have installed the Blue OX base plates and a Hopkins wiring harness for the tail and brake lights. Will take it to dealer and have the Mopar 68321424 AB Flat Tow Kit installed for the death wobble Not sure yet what breaking system I will use. However I have run a wire from the AUX 12 volt in 7 wire to 6 wire connector up to the area of the battery. Do I need some sort of battery charger to keep the battery from running down while towing. I have been told that the Mopar Flat tow Kit uses the battery while towing to prevent the Death Wobble and that the battery will run down if not charged by the motor home while towing. What else do I need. ???????Mel We've been flat towing our 2015 Jeep Cherokee for about two years now. I just recently added the Patriot II braking system because it was an easy install. After experiencing the death wobble two times we decided to fork over the money to have the Mopar Flat Tow kit installed. I also added the RVI Tow Charger to keep the battery topped off while driving.Patriot II supplemental brake systemI've watched every video possible about the Blue Ox Patriot II braking system and not one tells you how it "really" works. It's simple enough but what I'm trying to figure out is how does it know to proportionately apply the towed vehicles brakes when there is no physical connection to the motorhomes brakes? Does the control module on the RV dash know that you're applying the brakes?Re: Camping World got me again Seattle Lion wrote: tommieteflon wrote: popeyemth wrote: Why did you give up trying to get satisfaction? My MasterCard is very good about refunding charges for me. I'm not giving up. They tell me that these erroneous charges are there to check that the credit card is valid but like I told them none of the charges match what my invoice says. She said one of the charges will back off in a few days. I order a lot of stuff from all over the country and I've never seen any other company do this. Trust me I've learned my lesson not to shop at CW anymore and will just buy locally. With ID theft being what it is I have the bank send me text messages whenever a charge is placed against my card so this system that CW uses is very annoying. Most online retailers don't place "charge holds" any more. What happened, I imagine, is that when you placed the order they initiated a charge for the price to verify your card was good for the money. They probably never finalized that charge, so they are right, it will fall off your card. What they didn't tell you is that some banks keep these holds active for up to 14 days. Other companies only charge the card when they process to ship. If the card fails, they don't pack the order. They finally backed off the charges and actually after doing the math I realized just like the time before they were double charging the shipping fees. At least I learned my lesson and won't shop there anymore.Re: Camping World got me again popeyemth wrote: Why did you give up trying to get satisfaction? Last time I ordered something they over charged me and once again my total came out to $38.46 but per my bank card they charged me $52.46. In other words they double charged me the $14 shipping charge. I have definitely learned my lesson and will only buy rv stuff locally anymore. When I complained about this last time they said they would correct the computer problem but they didn't. This borders on down right fraud. Guess they'll get a piece of my mind over the phone today! Grrrrrrrrrrr
