Anyone have any recommendations on straps or some other product that will hold the TV in place while traveling? (a wall mount bracket won't work as the TV will be sitting on a shelf recessed into the cabinet). Camping World had something on their website. Anyone have any experience? Thanks.Entry door hingeDuring a recent windy day, the wind caught our entry door and swung it open really hard. I believe it might have bent one of the top hinges as the door, while it still shuts, does not close as tightly at the top. There is a slight gap and it rattle when driving. Is it possible to simply replace the hinge? I've tried to attach an image to help as I realize this might be a tough question to answer without seeing the hinge. Thanks. BillRe: Safe Alert propane gas detectorRv is a 2008. Beeping went off after connecting to shore power. It was connected to shore power the entire time it was beeping. It didn't stop until I removed the detector and was in the process of removing the back cover to disconnect it. Yes, it almost seemed like there was a loose wire. However, right not the status light is green and it seems to be functioning normal. Will probably simply replace itRe: Safe Alert propane gas detectorThanks for the info. As far as the converter and batteries, how do you exactly check the converter? My batteries are fairly new and in good shape. ThanksSafe Alert propane gas detectorOn our latest trip, upon setting up, the Safe Alert propane gas detector in the unit started malfunctioning. It was periodically beeping much like a smoke detector in your home does when the backup battery is dead. The warning light on the unit was flashing red/ green which according to the unit indicates "replace". When I went to remove the unit ( it is hard wired into the electrical system) the beeping stopped, the light turned green, and has seemingly been functioning normal ever since. Anyone had this issue with their own rig? Any thoughts on whether I should replace it or simply keep an eye on it to make sure it functions properly going forward? Thanks30A to 15A electrical adapterWhile at home, I plugged my RV into a 20A outdoor receptacle using the standard adapter for a day while loading the camper for the weekend trip. I only had the refrigerator and a small portable heater on (as it was going to get fairly cold overnight) in the RV. The next day, I noticed that the extension cord had burned slightly around the male end. This is a bit concerning. The adapter is 30A to 15A. Do they have 30A to 20A adapters available? Is it possible the refrigerator/heater are drawing more than 15A (anywhere from 15A-20A) - more than what the adapter is rated to handle? Any thoughts? Thank you.Toilet sealHi - The seal on our RV toilet isn't holding water in the toilet for longer then 5-6 hours. I've tried cleaning it - its not the easiest thing to access to clean. I purchased some toilet seal lubricant/conditioner and let that sit in it for several hours. That seemed to help but still not completely fix the problem. Any thoughts or advice? Thank you.Adhesive to mount video screen on backup cameraHi! The video screen for our backup camera was mounted to the windshield (where the rear view mirror normally would be). The adhesive mounting it no longer holds it in place and it fell. I remounted it using 3M double sided tape (designed for auto mirrors, trim, etc). The tape doesn't seem to work either and the video screen keeps falling. The tape holds ok on the glass - it fails to adhear to the metal mounting bracket. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions on products that might work better and hold the video screen in place? Thank you.Re: Black tank smellOne question about the vent... I went up to the roof. It appeared ok but I couldn't really check anything without completely removing the cap, including the caulking. Is there an easy way to check that the vent is clear?Re: Black tank smellNo fans are on. Always add a couple gallons + cleaner after every use. Valve is shut. I'll have to check the vent pipe.
