I towed an 8,000Lb tractor on a flatbed trailer about 60 miles once and after the trip I realized I never put the pin into the hitch. Won't do that again but that taught me the pin isn't doing any work.Re: 5th wheel hitch heightI'm running a B & W companion and yeah it looks pretty easy to do so.5th wheel hitch heightIf I wanted to lower the front end of my 5th wheel, which would be preferred, lower the hitch in the bed or raise the kingpin on the trailer or does it even matter? If thinking lowering the hitch in the bed would put the kingpin lower and closer to the center of gravity of the truck. But them again would this even make a difference? I'm only speaking of about 2" that I need to move it.Re: No power to inverterNevermind I’m still sleep apparently. The breaker for the converter was tripped in my panel box. All seems fine now.No power to inverterNeed some quick advice please. Set up yesterday and everything was fine. Woke up this am to the Co detector chirping. Realized I didn’t have any lights. Looked around and unit is dead. I have power at the pole confirmed by my power watchdog. My inverter is not on. Will not turn on. Nothing on the screen. Xantrex freedom x inverter in a 2021 KZ Durango Gold. Battery switch is on and relay to battery is not tripped. Have 4 days ahead on me here and 4hrs from home. Help! ????Re: Truck squat question Cummins12V98 wrote: If you have not owned the RV long just wait they mysteriously gain weight. So true in many cases and it’s easy to do but the wife and I always try to stay with minimal stuff. If it doesn’t get used at least once every few trips it’s gone. House is the same way. Plus with this rig I can’t because I realize I can overload my truck if I’m not careful.Re: Truck squat questionAs loaded currently I’m at 3,160lbs rear axle difference between loaded/hitched and unloadedRe: Truck squat questionHave a 21 GMC 3500 SRW and a 21 KZ 387FLF. I’m within my trucks weight limits but just curious what was typical. Having never towed a 5th before I didn’t know what to expect. I’m considering adding Timbrens just to keep it level.Truck squat questionHow much does the rear of your truck squat once hitched and landing gear are up? Never owned a 5er before so just curious.Re: New Reese hitch; confused about unhitching.
