I'm thinking possibly a loose connection. The top of the picture is displayed at the bottom. It eventually goes back to normal though. /Users/ljr869/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/resources/proxies/derivatives/4a/00/4af4/UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_4af4.jpgRe: Stay-a-While crackedThat support is an idea. The leak was definitely on the casted body portion, not any of the machined areas.Re: Norcold class actionJust received mine for $228.90Stay-a-While crackedSmelled gas and ran my finger around the joints, assuming that's where the leak was. Turned the valve off and then saw the spray come out from a crack adjacent to the 1/4" supplemental connection on the body of the stay-a-while. Probably from 9 years of bouncing around but assumed it would last much longer.Re: The dreaded code 36It was the pump.Re: The dreaded code 36Yeah, I have a new pump and, on paper, seems a simple job but it's a bit tight in there for my hands so I'll let the shop do it while they look at some others things as well.Re: The dreaded code 36It's air-cooled by the way. I did buy a replacement fuel pump (Airtex) as well as an Onan tune-up kit, the fuel and air filters of which I've used. I figured if the fuel pump works while priming, which it does, then it works. It's odd that temperature would be a factor. I'll read up on replacement procedure and see if I can tackle it as I do have good access to the underside. The dreaded code 36Onan Marquis Gold 5500 runs for 3 to 10 minutes then surges and dies. Code 36 means it shut down without being told to. Plenty of clean fuel, just changed fuel filter, pump primes, clean air filter, proper oil level. I'm guessing it's carburetor related seeing as it occurs once it gets to operating temp. That's a bit above my expertise so into the shop it goes.
