I went through a similar thought process last year. We wanted to full time, wasn't 100% sure how long or if we would like it. We owned MH's since the 80's. I considered purchasing a fairly new DP or gas. I considered the cost and availability of service, repairs, performing my own general maintenance. I thought about resale if we decided we didn't want to continue full time and wanted to purchase another house. My decision was to purchase a good MH that we would be comfortable in for 2 years of full time. The price range was set so if we decided not to continue, we could justify the cost and resale value. After 2 years we will know exactly what we need. If we continue to full time we will upgrade and purchase our ideal unit.575Views0likes0CommentsBasement Compartment Shelving / Organization ideas
I have a 36' gas Coachmen Aurora. I'm looking for pictures or ideas on how to re-organize the basement compartments. -There are ribs on each side of the compartments. Has anyone cut shelving to go across? Did ithey stay in place? -Did anyone purchase manufactured shelving? What do you use for a tool chest? I'm thinking about putting in a 22" * 12" , 5 drawer. I have a Blue Ox set up on my 2016 Wrangler. Baseplate is BX1126. Install required drilling 4 holes and cutting plastic skid plate 1/2" * 4" to allow fitting over baseplate. I have an Ascent towbar BX4370, Wiring for Jeep is BX8869 and brake is Patriot 2 BRK2016 Juat wanted to add that the plastic "skid plate" / air dam is generally discarded by most that modify Wranglers and add aftermarket bumpers and add real skid plates Factory JK take off parts are very easy and cheap to find. When I'm plugged in to power the battery disconnect switch is on. it has a green light. We had a storm which caused a power outage and I had to physically push the Coach battery switch on. The second time was when I unplugged from campground to travel, again noticed I had to push switch on to battery power. Thank you for the replies.
