Looking for some opinions on what would cause the floor to "crown" in the area directly in front of the slide out in our Talon. Here's the backstory. We took it in because the slide was digging into the vinyl when closed. Jayco authorized a new floor as well as new rollers on the slide. When I picked it up I imediately noticed it still wasn't right. Slide was sitting on the floor and would've torn the new floor in one or two uses. I left it with them again and what was found was the floor has "crowned" up along the area under the slide (if the slide was in). With a 4ft level from the slide opening going across it's at least 3/8th off at 4ft. So the slide out geometry is correct but the floor is raised. It's not enough to feel when walking on it and it's not a "bubbled" effect. Jayco has authorized the dealer some time to diagnose but as of today the dealer nor Jayco has a direct plan other then cutting into the floor, basically exploratory surgery. We've ruled out a bad frame outrigger and some other minor possibilities.1.5KViews0likes4CommentsRe: 2017 or newer F-450 issues
I don't own one but I spend at least 50 hours a week in a 2019 F450. I work for a very large cable utility company. One thing about switching to a LT tire that some aren't thinking about it the size of these tires. A 255/85 is a 33x10. It is a HUGE tire to be on a camper. Most LT's that size are all terrain tires with a lower load capacity. These GY's have a load capacity of 4080lbs and I need every bit of that as we load to full capacity occasionally.925Views0likes0CommentsRe: Goodyear Endurance long term review.

There's a spot roughly the size of my hand where the tread is worn more than the rest of the tire that caught my attention. Out of round....Yes, I had the tire off the ground a little and it "grabbed" the concrete just a little in one spot when I spun it, nothing major. I guess this is a hot topic here lately, I don't get on here much anymore. I just felt like I've probably got more miles on mine than most so I thought I'd share my experience with them as they are still new in the market. My 2018 Jayco Talon came with the Goodyear Endurance ties in 255/85/16. We use our TH for our sons racing which spans from Fla-NY about 10 months a year. I'd estimate we have approx. 25-30K miles on these tires. Generally, the wear is even on them although one has developed a flat spot and one seems slightly out of round. All four are down to the wear marks and starting to show very slight cracking. I'd say these are loaded on average at 75% capacity and always aired to max psi. Rotated a couple times a year maybe. I'll be replacing them very soon with another set of the same as I've been pleased with these, considering the milage I've put on them. With the average user not putting this much milage on camper tires I would highly recommend these.9.9KViews0likes72Comments
