I know it is still functional , but it bothers me when I have something that doesn't work like it is supposed to .flourescent light replacementwhat led strips to replace 18" fluorescent bulbs. warm or cool white and what size, and how many led's ? also how many lumens are to much. would warm white be preferable in bedroom and cool white in kitchen area. any input from those of you that has done this would be greatly appreciated. I really didn't see any other way to get it out. am I missing something here ? Thanks for calling me goose. I thought I was hearing from an old friend, only had that nickname for 60 years !!!water leak repair shop (RGV Tx area)I have a water leak in the front. around the center of the windshield. had a windshield shop reseal windshield, that didn't fix it. I am very frustrated trying to run this down. I will be in south Tx (RGV area) in about a week. any suggestions of a leak repair facility around the Mcalan/Mission Tx area ? 2005 H/R Scepter m/hTire pressure monitorI am considering getting tire pressure & heat monitors. Would prefer not to dismount tires for installation. possibly getting them for my toad also. any suggestions on the good ones and some to stay away from. I have a 40' mh towing a club cab pickup. I would appreciate any suggestions.Re: engine block heaterThanks for the input, I will check out what Brett suggested. Thanks again, it is great to have a site like this, it has saved me time and money several times. goose62075Re: engine block heaterIt was the breaker at the campground when I had to use a site that only had 30 amp service. I then moved to a site that had 50 amp service, then everything worked. this happened 3 times. it was never the breaker in the m/h, it was always the breaker on the c/g post. I am sure the block heater was not turned on. I would assume that the cord hanging in the eng compartment had to be plugged in for the block heater to work. when the tech removed the wires from my breaker on the m/h, I could use 30 amp GFI breaker without it kicking out. I'm sorry I didn't explain all of this in the beginning. I was trying to keep this brief and still get some input. The tech talked as if the problem laid in the GFI circuit. the way I understood him was that most C/G used GFI only on 30 amp service. He said that GFI isn't needed on 50 amp connection.Re: engine block heaterThe tech took the wires off of the breaker and taped them. what I don't understand is that there is a 110 cord hanging in the engine compartment that isn't plugged into anything. It looks like it goes to the block heater. it didn't give me any trouble while plugged into 50 amp, only when plugged into 30 amp. he said that the 30 amp is a ground fault circuit and the 50 amp wasn't. he said it was all about the GFI . I haven't owned the coach all that long and I'm electricaly challenged. I just want to replace the block heater and live happily ever after. But I am not really sure that is what I need to do. I just don't like to have anything on my coach that doesn't work like it's supposed to. I am normally in Texas RGV now, but because of family issues I am late leaving this year and it is colder than he#% her in Illinois. I think I am going to need that block heater.engine block heaterrv tech found my problem of kicking breaker out while hooked up to 30 amp outlet. they first thought that it would be the water heater element, after isolating it, the breaker still kicked out. they continued unhooking things with no luck. took the engine block heater out of the circuit and every thing works fine. I am not sure how to check the block heater out. just curious as to how big of a deal it is to change it and if I would lose much antifreeze in the process. I have a 2005 H/R Scepter with a cummins 400 ISL. Thanks in advance for your advice.aqua hotWhat would be a guess at the life of the aqua hot system? I have heard pros and cons on a aqua hot system. seems like the guys that don't have them, speak the worst about them, and most people that have them say that it would be a deal breaker with out one. If you do the maintenance on one, could you reasonably not be exposed to the exspensive coil replacement? I have heard that could be a $6 to $7,000.00 dollar repair? I think I would like to have one in my next coach. It will be a used coach, what could a guy do to make sure the system is in good working order. I don't have a clue on how to check one out, other than take to some one that services them. I don't know how a dealer would feel about that. appreciate any input on this. tireman
