Actually, I should say we worked, they did basically nothing of use. We encountered many red flags regarding design, construction, and cost. I assume you are not referring to Lake Weir Preserve - our experience could not be better there!Re: RV Home CommunityJust discovered I never got back to this thread after we found the perfect RV Home Community for us right here in FL. We are building an RV home at Lake Weir Preserve near Ocala with a built in 50 x 18 FT RV garage. Hope to move in next Spring.RV Home CommunityWe are looking for a place to re-locate to as a home base for part of the year that is in a temperate climate where we wouldn't mind living year around when we get too old to hit the road in our 34 FT Class A every year. We don't want to full-time, but rather, have a brick & mortar home as our base for part of the year. We would want a small house with a garage or concrete pad for our RV with full hookups. Ideally, it would be in a community with other like-minded people who also travel part of the year in their RV's, but we don't want a restrictive community with a lot of rules & regulations. Anyone know of such a "perfect" place? Thanks, Cass & LynI-80 from Salt Lake City to OmahaWe are on our way back to south FL & are currently working our way north in Utah for another week or so before heading east & then south to FL. Would I-80 be the easiest passage in our 34 FT Class A towing a Honda? Anything interesting to see or good places to stay on that route? Thanks, Cass & LynRe: Best Route From Santa Fe, NM to Kaneb, UTWell, we decided to head west on 40 in spite of the heat & ended up at Holbrook, AZ where we will check out the petrified forest tomorrow. We will then maybe head over to Sedona or on up to Page before heading to Kanab in a week. We have one of Best Friend's two RV sites booked for two weeks where we will volunteer some & make day trips to the many parks in the area. Thanks for all the suggestions! Cass & LynBest Route From Santa Fe, NM to Kaneb, UTWe are currently at an RV park outside Santa Fe & plan to leave tomorrow with a week to spend between here & Kanab, UT. We had planned to stay in Gallup, Tuba City & Page on the way, but recently read about a crime wave in Gallup that concerns us about the safety of staying there. We have a 34 ft class A towing a Honda Fit. Any suggestions of other routes & things to see in the area? We prefer the natural beauty of the high desert & Indian culture to busy tourist attractions & busy cities. We will do the north rim of Grand Canyon after we go to Kanab & prefer that to the busier & more touristy south rim. Thanks, Cass & LynBlues Highway (61) From Baton Rouge, LA to Helena, AKAnyone familiar with this road? We are considering it as a way to get from a stop in New Orleans on our way from FL to Santa Fe next month. Is it a decent road for a 34 FT class A pulling a Honda? Does it run through the towns or skirt around them? Thanks, Cass & LynnBest Route From South FL To SeattleWe are thinking of changing our plans leaving our home base in south FL July 5 for a few months in our 34 FT Class A towing a Honda. We were going to the SW but seeing the heat wave & fires there we are thinking of diverting to the NW & maybe come back through the SW in the Fall when it will be cooler. We want to spend as much time as possible in WA & OR so we are looking for the best/quickest way to get there, although we may go by way of New Orleans if it is not too hot there when we get closer to departure. We would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Cass & LynTire Wear While TowingWe are starting a 10,000 mile trip this summer towing our Honda Fit with manual transmission four down behind our Class A. Should we expect more or less front tire wear on the Fit while towing as opposed to normal driving? Thanks, Cass & Lyn264 Between Gallup, NM & Tuba City AZAnyone familiar with this drive? It looks like a more scenic way to get to Kaneb, UT from Gallup, NM than taking I-40 to Flagstaff & up 89. Will it be any problem for our gas 34 ft Class A towing a Honda Fit? Thanks, Cass & Lyn
