The only odd thing I noticed is that I cant put the converter into the lowest setting using the button on the remote, I only get med or high. My guess is because the solar controllers float setting is higher than the float setting on the converter. I think the PD9100 series is 13.2.or 3 and the solar controller is 13.6. Maybe at night when the panels aren't producing it might drop to there. Other than that it seems to be working as intended. I also noticed that when I unplug the converter and or shut the main off the remote light still flashes. I measured the amps coming in and got 10.5 which seems right given the flat mounting and the winter sun I'm getting. Thanks again for the input!Re: Connecting solar panels to ConverterThanks for the help. Not to be cheap but I'm trying to keep wire runs to a minimum. I was going to connect the solar controller output to the same terminals as the output from the converter to the batteries just in case. I just wasn't sure if running them in parallel was ok or not. When my RV is parked at home I have it plugged into the house and was wondering if it would matter that both the solar and the convereter were providing power. I'm assuming that the solar controller would see the voltage from the converter and not push additional power to the battieries.Connecting solar panels to ConverterIs it possible to connect the output from my charge controller to converter instead of direct to the batteries? I have the PD 9100 series that has two sets of pos and neg terminals on it.Re: Parallax converter vs Progressive DynamicsJust swapped my wfco for the pro 9200 80amp in my new to me class a. I put one in my toyhauler and water depletion in my batteries went way down. I also had 5 yrs on my batts that were still going strong when I sold it thanks to that converter.breaker coming from coach batteryDuring my recent diagnosis of my bad transfer switch I found a Blue Sea switch/breaker between the coach battery and the rest of the coach. I reset it and didnt think much of it. Now that I'm done with my repair I was wondering what the breaker was for and if anyone else has a similar setup. On or off I didn't see a difference.Re: ac and 12v power issues smkettner wrote: I assume Rv has 50 amps service.... time to make those same voltage checks at the transfer switch. Are you plugged into 50 amp power or 30 amp? I'm plugged in to 30 amp. I also checked the cord to make sure it had power. Checked the transfer switch and half the leg is dead there. Looks like the transfer switch is the culprit. Time to start learning about intellitec transfer switches. Thanks to all for the help.Re: ac and 12v power issuesOk, day 2 of the fun. I took the cover off the breakers and I only have power to the lower half of the panel below the main breaker. When I run the generator I have power to the whole coach without issue. The fun continues...Re: ac and 12v power issuesInteresting. If I took the batteries out of the system I should get power back then, right?Re: ac and 12v power issuesFound a blue sea breaker under the hood coming from the main batt that had the flag out on it. I reset it and didnt notice a change anywhere. I also metered my outlets and found all the gfi outlets have power. I only found on outlet that was a resttable gfi in the bathroom. When I flip the cutoff switch to the batteries tje converter fan comes on for a second and quits. Still no power to it though. Im thinking the converter is probably ok.ac and 12v power issuesI have an 06 Fleetwood Southwind on the Ford F53 chassis. I'm having a power issue in that my batteries aren't charging when connected to shore power and I only have 120 to my GFI in the bathroom and the microwave. I thought maybe the wfco converter was bad so I went through the process of figuring it out. I metered the outlet the converter plugs into and theres no power to it. I checked and cycled all of my breakers and fuses and still no luck. I'm probably wrong on this but shouldn't the converter have direct ac power like the micro and GFI? I'm running out of talent and might cave and take it in soon...
