It's gonna get cold tonight and I'll need heat.Re: Coleman Mach thermostatI actually went analog again...refusing to pay the Camping World price for a new Coleman thrmostat. Struggling a bit to convince it to work...but we'll get there.Re: Condensation on interior of windowsAs soon as it warms a bit, we have two Max-Air vent covers waiting to be installed. That should help too. :) Thanks for all the suggestions!Re: Condensation on interior of windowsThe interior humidity is 28%. Not much. I think this fiver is sealed pretty well. If I don't keep the vents cracked, they will condensate and drip. I can't imagine what it would be like in FL. I'm leaning toward going to the DI or Goodwill and getting a blanket to make a couple of shades to hang on rods in place of the blinds.Coleman Mach thermostat1998 Jayco Designer with original thermostat. I turned it on to take the chill off after being gone this morning. It didn't click off when it reached where I set it. So I turned it back down to 50. It didn't click off. Hmmm. Played with it a bit. Now it won't turn off unless I turn it off. I'm thinking it died. Not wanting to go back to work tomorrow (I'm a teacher) unless I know I have propane heat to back up the electric. Suggestions? 1998 Jayco Designer 29RKS 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4 6.0 Ext. CabRe: Condensation on interior of windowsI have damprid in the closet (yep, it was in there too!) and the closet doors are open. I;m wondering about insulated curtains that I can pull to replace the blinds in there.Condensation on interior of windowsWe're first year winter fulltimers in Idaho. We put light blocking material up on the bedroom windows to make it a bit darker and also keep down some noise. Wouldn't you know it...I have enough mold behind that material to make penicillin? I have pulled all the material off, bleached everything, and am debating my options. Our fiver is a 1998, so I'm sure the windows aren't the best. That being said, I need to figure something else out. Any ideas would be appreciated. The fiver came with no curtains. Just metal blinds. Replacing the blinds is cost prohibitive at this time. Thanks! 1998 Jayco Designer 29RKS 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4 6.0 Ext. CabRe: New or used 5th wheel? In the RV park we live in, there are 4 Jayco Designers of various ages. I think ours is the oldest. Jayco makes a solid unit if you buy a Designer. This park is right off the interstate, and it's rare we can hear the traffic. The 5er is well insulated and well-set up. I'd recommend a Jayco Designer anytime for full-time use!Re: New or used 5th wheel? We bought used for our foray into fulltiming...and she's a 1998. Solid as can be. She needed cleaning badly, but other than that, this 1998 Jayco works like she is brand new and I didn't pay $55K for her. We paid about a tenth of that. 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD Ext Cab 4x4 6.0L 1998 Jayco Designer 2930RKSRe: Back to basic 5'er Mfg'er?Found this on the Camping World site. Very similar to the 5er our friends now have. Nice price too... http://www.campingworld.com/rvsales/Fifth-Wheel-Trailer/1999/Forest-River-Cherokee/285875/
