I went to Harbor Freight and bought one of those multi-purpose aluminum ladders and that is what I use to get up to the top of the motorhome. i am not a Harbor Freight fan but in this case the ladder is a good buy. Look on the Harbor Freight web site and get a coupon to help in the cost of the item.Re: Back up lightsI wll check on that. Thank you for the tip. jackBack up lightsI have a 2004 National Tropical, Freightliner Chasis. My back up lights do not work. I have checked the bulbs and they are fine. Have checked the plugs ins for the bulbs nd there is not any voltage. Does anyone know where the switch or selinod might be for activating the back up lights? Thannks for your help. JackRe: Coach tends to wanderI appreciate all the help and food for thought. Tires are a year and a half old, I check pressure before each trip to be sure they have the psi the coach recommends, haven't had each corner weighed but don't carry hardly anything in the coach but know that doesn't mean everything is good, coach has 50,000 on it, have had new bushing etc. replaced in front but have not had it aligned nor have I had air bag pressure checked. This is my first MH so I guess I am learning as I go. I do have a mechanical head on my shoulders but some things I need to hear from others that have experience. Thanks everyone for help JackCoach tends to wanderI have a National Tropical 2004, 38' that I have to actually drive all the time. I have been reading about the steering stabilizers of which I think I like the Safe Steer best. I called Camping World to talk to them about this product and if they could get it for me. Immediately the person told me that in his experience he would think the problem is in the rear stabilizer. This is something that surprised me. Has anyone solved the "wander" by replacing the rear stabilizer? I want the motorhome to be easier to steer but don't want to spend money on something I don't need. Interested in your opinion JackRe: Heater valve on a National TropicalThanks againRe: Heater valve on a National TropicalThank you Koda55. While looking for that valve yesterday I figured I saw it because of the heater hoses. I wondered how I would get to it it was so high up in front. Now I know that is what I saw. I am not sure but I did not think my generator slid out. I thought it was bolted in place. One other question. My backup lights do not work. I think it is because there is a switch somewhere that is not working. My trans works off of a push button selector. Any suggestions? Thanks again for the helpHeater valve on a National TropicalI have a 2004 Tropical pusher and the valve that opens and closes the hot water, that would heat the drivers compartment, must be stuck shut. I am pretty sure the selinod valve is somewhere up front just don't see it nor do I really know what shape it might be. Any help would be appreciated. All these valves are probably similar in the motorhome industry. Oh yes, I will not need the heater for at least a few months but would just like to replace that valve before I head south in October. Thanks to anyone that can help Jack
