Every year, they gather a bunch of gear heads together and lug trailers around a specified course. Let me say that the Ecoboost actually had quite the power and was about as fast or faster than all the other Ford diesels that showed up at that meet. The ecoboost is no slouch. The transmission though was beyond its capabilities, it's a 6R80 in the F-150, not a 6R140. Thats impossible to have the ecoboost out perform the powerstroke engines. Maybe if it was an old 6.0 but not the new 6.7's.Re: 2015 Chevy 3500 vs Ford 350 diesels Turtle n Peeps wrote: Northernford wrote: Ford will get up the hill the fastest, the most fuel efficiant, and not break down. If you actually take care of a diesel and not hot rod it around then it will last and not break down. Same would happen with any dieselRe: 2015 Chevy 3500 vs Ford 350 dieselsWell if you read it says he is pulling a 15000lb trailer up hill. Ecoboost is rated at hauling 11,000 trailers. So yeah when you over load your truck by 4000+ pounds it won't sound to good, especially a gasser. It was up hill so if you have any automotive knowledge you would know that the transmission temp will go up without a trailer or with, just the heavier the more but at least it stayed at about 235. Try hooking that trailer up to a dodge or GM 1500 and see what happens. And guess what? The normal range for tranny temps with just plain driving and no load is about 210 anyway, so really it isn't even that high for being loaded that much.Re: 2015 Chevy 3500 vs Ford 350 dieselsFord will get up the hill the fastest, the most fuel efficiant, and not break down. You can sit up in the bed easily. Great camper for 2 people and a smaller kid in my opinion. Only reason he may sell it in the next few years is because my parents also have a full size german shepherd so room gets tight in there. Other than that he loves it, just wish it had a slide out. Check out rosmanrv.com they usually have bigfoots on their lot, if not new look in the used section.Re: AF 811 or Lance 855S for 2013 Dodge 3500 SB 4x4Dry weight is 2873 according to northwoods websiteRe: AF 811 or Lance 855S for 2013 Dodge 3500 SB 4x4The new arctic fox 811 is 2873lbs
