Used Sterling All-Terrain tow bars from Roadmaster. Lightweight but strong and super easy to use. Hubby and I together could literally hook-up or unhook in less than 10 mins. I could do it myself in just a couple extra minutes. We used the Roadmaster Invisibrake. Functioned perfectly. It does have to be wired and plugged into the MH but it also keeps the Jeep battery charged up when the lights are all on.Re: invsibrake questionSounds to me like you may have a pinched wire in your harness. We had a similar situation on our trip to Fla this year. DH noticed that our dash light wasn't lighting when the coach braked. We stopped and checked, sure enough no braking going on in the toad. We were pretty sure the coach and the Jeep were not the problem. Checked the wiring connection and sure enough, found a pinch in the wire from where the Roadmaster folded up and had pinched it previously. We bought another wire harness at the Camping World we stopped at and used that in place of the original. We were good to go! Give yours a very close inspection.Re: Saw an ad, saw the rig, bought itNice job!! Pulling the trigger is the hardest part. Sounds like a nice coach, ready to go. Wishing you a summer filled with good adventures! I see you are from Eagle Rock....not too far from San Dimas I think, if I remember correctly. I grew up in San Dimas. My dad retired when I was getting ready for my senior year in high school. Our family moved to northern Michigan then. I need to plan a west coach trip to see everything again!Re: Tiki RV Park & CG, St. Ignace, MIMackinaw Mill Creek Campground is a very nice facility in Mackinaw City that we stay at every visit. It's a nice family park, very clean. We stay in our 38 ft motorhome with plenty of room.Re: CG Recommendation, St. Ignace, MIWe prefer Mackinac Mill Campground if we are doing Mackinac City and Mackinac Island. There is a lot to do in Mackinac City. Fort Michilimackinac, the Icebreaker Mackinaw, Jack Pine Lumberjack Show is all in or around Mackinaw City. Going across to Mackinac Island and going across the Mackinac Bridge to St.Ignace are fun and interesting things to do. I love walking around both towns. mackinaw Island is a full day excursion in itself.Re: RV Armor (Lifetime transferable warranty)I like everything I just saw. The person doing the application is certainly the key, as the product sure appears to be first rate. If I needed my roof re-done, I would be giving RV Armor my first consideration. I'm curious on cost.....Re: Tow BarsWe have the Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain. Works extremely easy and can't feel the Jeep Cherokee at all. Smooth operation. As for an auxiliary braking system. I would not be without one, whether required or not. When the situation arises that I need to make an emergency stop. I want every single inch available to me. I'm not worried about the every day/every stop. I am concerned about shutting it all down in as short a distance possible situation.Re: Spare door key for the RVWe have a ballistic nylon sleeve well hidden for ours as well. Spare entry key to both the RV and the toad.Re: Second Bad Gas Hose from CWActually, ironically we experienced the same thing ourselves. Bought a new hose, it failed, bought a second, it failed also. Third one was the charm. Yes, I bought from CW, because that is where I prefer to buy my RVing supplies. CW was able to look up our transactions on their computer and they cheerfully exchanged the hose each time with absolutely no difficulty. I am confident that you too will have no difficulty with your transaction. In ALL my experience with CW, they have delivered outstanding customer service. That is why I drive 65 mikes each way to shop there. Stuff happens. Manufacturers have glitches. Product is bought in large batches by companies, so when there is a Mfg.issue, there does tend to be a number of them, and quite often delivered to the same merchant. A small bump on the road of life. Have a good day!Re: Jeep Grand CherokeeI am certain our 2015 Grand Cherokee Summit has a neutral switch for disengaging the transmission. However we do not tow it. We tow our 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk (DH daily driver) I do recognize the switch though, since I am usually the one who puts the Trailhawk into 'tow mode' when we hook and unhook.
