My wife has significant back problems and after taking her for a drive.... we could not keep it. We ended up with a Chevy Spark. We'll miss the off roading, but happy wife, happy life. Our Sammy is for sale. Re: Looking for a TOAD for our New TravatoThank you all for chiming in.... looks like a Chevy Spark (manual) is what we'll be looking for!Looking for a TOAD for our New TravatoHello all, My wife and are long time boondockers and have downsized to a 2023 Travato 59K. We need to sell our Jeep and buy a manual tranny TOAD that is just around 2500 pounds. We would appreciate all suggestions. Google search says: if your Travato is fully loaded, using all of your OCCC, up to a full GVWR of 9,350 lbs. that you are still limited to the GCWR of 12,000 lbs. So, your trailer or towed vehicle should not exceed 2,650 lbs. (GCWR 12,000 – GVWR 9,350.)May 8, 2022 My wife likes to sew and stay in camp after we land set up and I can take off to go fishing for the day. Thanks! How is the Current RV Market to Sell My Coach? We love the rig and are reluctant to sell it especially if the market is poor and if Class A's are hard to sell because of the gas prices and inflation. We're in the the SF Bay Area and lots of people are leaving the State of California. My wife and I are looking for some insight as to the current RV market. Many thanks!Re: Can't Find Zerks on My Driveline U Joints?Thank you all for replying :)Can't Find Zerks on My Driveline U Joints?I have a 2011 30’ Winnebago Itasca Class A and do my own oil changes and lubes. I have no problem finding the (9) zerks on the front steering components but am at a loss to find any on the (2) driveshaft U joints. I pulled the boot covering the splined section of the shaft, but it looked like it did not require any lubrication. Over the years I’ve been doing my maintenance I’ve always look to lube the driveshaft as I’ve done with my vehicles from the 70’s to the 90’s …… but don’t see them on this motorhome. On the road I’ve taken it to Ford Dealerships to do oil and lube and I’ve never seen any residual grease on the U joints that also is a hint they may not exist. Any thoughts? Thanks! Re: 2012 Sunova Question on Converter LocationThank you all for your replies. One fella on the Winnebago owner forum used the online PDF files of the factory wiring diagrams and figured out it was somewhere near the bathroom. I removed all interior panels of the bathroom vanity cabinet...... and found the converter mounted on the floor. I would never have found it, but for one great RV sleuth! :C2012 Sunova Question on Converter LocationI have a 2012 30' Sunova Class A and have a fairly decent knowledge of the working components in my rig. However, I don't know where the converter is located. The converter is what charges the house batteries and the owners manual says it is a Mity-Mite SARVC Schumacher converter..... but I have no idea where it is located. I would expect it should be near the batteries, under the steps, but would appreciate if someone could direct me to the location..... perhaps a photo if possible. Inspect the drive motor for tightness. Lubricate with motorcycle type dry chain lube. I first look in my garage to see what's available before I go out to the auto parts store. I do have a can of aerosol engine degreaser which removes grease and grime and leaves no residue. Also have a can of WD-40 PTFE spay dry lube which really works well on my gear teeth for the slide outs. I found a replacement motor for $40 which I'll use if I have to. Thanks again enblethenRe: Kwikee Electric Steps Fail to Fully Retract QuestionThanks all.....
