I'll be reusing using my Reese Dual Cam #26002 on the Windjammer. We used this hitch on our previous trailer for about 15 years and I will be transferring it to the Windjammer. However, 15 years ago you didn't use these rivets to secure the Frame Plate to the trailer frame. You just drilled the four holes and used 1/2-13 thread forming bolts to hold it on. Needless to say, they loosened up on me over the years. But now they require rivets #58507. Instructions tell you to drill out 11/16" hole for the rivets. It says it must be a snug fit. That's not the way it's working with me. 11/16" is 0.6875". The problem I have is that the rivets have an outside diameter of 0.6795" to 0.681". These rivets are 0.006" to 0.007" undersize for the 11/16" hole. I tested them and drilled 11/16" hole and popped in a rivet and it was undersize by several thousands, it spun easily, no friction, no snug fit. I measured in the knurled area that's gonna do all the gripping. I complained to the vendor and they sent me a new pack. Same thing, undersize. The rivet nuts need to deform as they are tightened. The instructions tell you what to do if they start to spin while you're tightening them but that is all depending on a snug fit. And they require a torque of 75 ft/lbs. Has anyone else dealt with this? I can use a smaller drill size, but is being installed at the dealer. And people that didn't check it out like I did are going to have undersize rivet. I worked in manufacturing for more than 30 years and I not a measure. I use both a digital vernier and a 1 inch micrometer. These rivets are undersize for 11/16" hole. Should I contact the manufacturer? Because putting these rivets in if they're not tight enough is a dangerous situation. Thanks.2015 Rockwood Windjammer 3025W - 30 or 50 amp service?Greetings, My DW and I just bought a used 2015 Forest River Rockwood Windjammer 3025W. The dealer has been storing it since January and now we are ready to pick it up, but it won't be for a couple weeks. Our salesman told us that it's a 30 amp service hookup. All the literature I can find online, which isn't a lot, says it's a 50 amp service. Is there anyone that knows the actual amperage that I'll need to hook up to? 30 or 50 amp service. I don't know if it was an option to get 30 or 50 amp, but since it has a option for a second air conditioner, I imagine it would be 50 amp, but I don't know that so I am asking. This is an awfully big trailer for 30 A, air conditioning, electric fireplace, electric water heater, and all the standard accessories that come with the modern trailer. And secondly, can anyone point me to a site that has more information on the 3025W than what I could find on the Forest River site, which is a lot. Thanks a lot. JerryCan falling acorns pierce my rubber roof?Hello, The DW and I are camped under tree that is shedding all its acorns. I'm wondering if they can pierce the rubber roof, however small a puncture, and let rain in? These are big acorns about 3/4" diameter, heavy with a sharp pointed end. So one of these is like a small needle with a fishing sinker attached. Am I worrying about nothing? Thanks. What wattage exterior bulb on 2006 Rockwood 8315SS TTHello, I need to replace the bulbs on my sidelights on my 2006 Forest River Rockwood 8315SS travel trailer. These are the running lights on the top and bottom corners white or yellow in front in red on the rear. I pulled one of the bulbs out, and I can't see any writing on them, so I don't know what wattage to replace them with. I was at Walmart the other day and their choices were: Sylvania # 161 - 2.7 W, # 194 - 3.8 W, and # 168 - 4.9 W. I'm going away this Saturday, which is two days away, and I would like to replace them before then. So if anyone can help me I would appreciate So, is it safe to use a higher wattage if the bulbs were a lower wattage? We're only talking a couple W difference between the high and low choices, so would I it really be taking a chance and melting the wiring if I used to higher wattage? so anyone that has advice I would appreciate it, thanks. DombexRe: Replacing RV kitchen faucet with regular household faucetWow, Thanks for all the replies. Guess I'm going with a regular faucet. Thanks again,:)Replacing RV kitchen faucet with regular household faucetHello, The plastic kitchen faucet in my 2006 Forest River Rockwood 31 foot travel trailer broke a few weeks ago. So, I need to replace it. My question is: can I replace my RV kitchen faucet with a common everyday household kitchen faucet that I would use in my own kitchen at home, or does it have to be a faucet specifically designed for an RV? I've read comments others have left on other RV forums on other sites and the overwhelming majority seems to say that a regular household faucet should fit. There may be some question as far as the fittings to connect the two but I'm sure they have adaptable fittings at Home Depot or Lowe's or my neighborhood hardware store. Also, there is some question as to whether these faucets will work with the travel trailers lower water pressure. I guess it needs a specific amount of pressure to keep the spray/stream function operating correctly. So, I would prefer to use a nice solid metal faucet like I have in my own kitchen instead of the flimsy plastic or plastic resin that I see advertised on each trailer.com or big brother RV.com or some other RV site. Plus, the prices are easier if it's a regular household faucet instead of the RV faucet and the selection is greater. I'm really leaning towards the pull down, one lever faucet. So, just to repeat myself, can I use an everyday household kitchen faucet to replace my RV sink faucet? So if anyone has any advice or recommendations please help me out here. I would greatly appreciate. Thank you very much. Jerry
