Sometimes when I turn the wheel the windshield wipers will turn on. Has anyone had to solve this problem? Any suggestions?Duo therm 620515 penguin ACWe have a 2001 HR Imperial with the duo therm 620515.321 Penguin air conditioner. Turned the front ac on to cool through the night. This morning it started blowing hot air, no more cooling. Rear ac seems to be working fine. Last week we started noticing bits of a dry gunk getting blown out of the vents when we first start it up. We figured that since we had been in high humidity/high heat areas for the last 6 months it was some sort of build up of dust combined with moisture. We are now in a dry climate. Air conditioners have pretty much been run constantly for the last three months. Turned ac off a couple of hours ago. Just tried it again, it is blowing room temp air when thermostat is set at 65. We have kept filters clean, blown out under the shroud outside. All inside vents are open. Other than that we haven't done anything else. We purchased this motor home two years ago. No records of service or maintenance. Any thoughts or suggestions?Carefree one touch awningWe have a 2001 HR. Went to put our awning in and it only goes in about 2/3 of the way. The cloth retracting strap on the back side arm has no tension on it. The front one is taut. It is an electric awning. We have never had trouble with it before. Any suggestions? We do not see a way to take the metal cover piece off to check towards the bottom where the strap is. There does not seem to be any tension on the back strap.Re: Mexico questionThanks Dennis. I'll see if I can figure out how to do that.Re: Mexico questionOP: Just thought we would ask, we love Mexico. But of course, want to be safe. Just have never been in this area and didn't know the situation down here now. We did go to Palomas last week. I used to go to Juarez in the 70's with my dad. It's too bad the way things have changed. Thanks everyone for your input.Mexico questionThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28376440Mexico questionWe are in the Willcox, AZ area and going to be going to Benson, AZ after here. Which is the biggest, safest Mexico town we can park and walk across? Through Douglas into Agua Prieta or at Nogales? We head north from Benson so will not be in the Yuma area to go to Algodones. Thanks in advance.Mexico via Columbus, NMHave been told it is safe to cross over here. Where is the day parking for walking across? Any suggestions for good optometrist? Anything we shouldn't miss?Re: Preventative hail damageOP: Guess I should have clarified. I meant when camped/parked. Definitely do our best to avoid being on the roads in inclement weather.Re: How many hours a day do you drive? We stick to around 200 miles per day. We usually do not drive back to back days either. We tend to stop for at least a two night minimum. Hubby recently had a blood in his leg. That being said, 200 miles can take us up to four or five hours. Lots of stops for stretching, walking around. But we also drive at 60 miles an hour. Better gas mileage.
